When I had no Dr for my son and I he took us on as his regulars. Even though we have to wait, it's worth the wait. Dr Kelly is a well knowledgeable practitioner who thoroughly goes through every detail with you and has been spot on about mysterious issues I have had for years. He knew right away and one was from the hospital they couldn't figure it out but he did. Well worth it.

This Dr spent the time with me and didn’t complain, he really helped. I just needed a referral but he wouldn’t stop asking me questions and then answering them with real advice. Sodium palmate epistle has everyone else switched off not this Dr.

Every time I attend the after hours surgery I have always been very well respected by the receptionists and also the doctors. That take the time to converse and are always a pleasure to deal with. It is always a pleasure to attend the surgery and very much worth the wait time when they are busy. Even when they are inundated with patients and under pressure they do the best they can to accommodate their patients. I would never go anywhere else. I am currently on light duties at work and dealing with work cover and they make the experience so easy and pass on the relevant information to my employer and work cover as requested. I highly recommend this surgery as you can always see a doctor without having to take time off work and it is very convenient.

Dr Kelly is one of the greatest doctors I have ever seen, Dr Kelly is very knowledgeable about everything, he is kind, hard working and very thorough, Dr knows what he’s talking about. I want to thank him for his work in the medical community and deserves the upmost recognition and respect. Dr Kelly has helped me through my struggles and I want to say thank you so very much for your expertise and kindness. I’m blessed to have Dr Kelly as my doctor….. 🙏

Absolute lifesaver was Dr K, on holiday injured eye thanks to getting a bit too wild at wet n wild, by the time I realized I was going to need to go the drs most clinics were closed and HomeDoc didnt service the Surfers paradise area, rang up to see if they could take us. Receptionist was lovely told us to get here asap, walked in after getting an Uber from the hotel, was treated and instructed on how to look after it. Went to chemist next day and managed to full fill childhood dream of being a pirate for the next three days Highly recommend!

Rang for an appointment, it's a walk-in service. Showed up and were seen within 5 mins of arriving.
Receptionists were wonderful and the doctor was kind and thorough.
We are up here for a weekend family trip so it was a relief to be seen so fast. Highly recommend the practise and the staff!

Dr Laurence Kelly has been a God sent to have been there on many occasions in 2 weeks I have found him indifferent yet medically professional, knowledgeable with the understand and empathy with the many chronic complex conditions I have thank you Dr Kelly

Save yourself the pain and do not ever come here. Waited 2 hours with my very sick partner, only to find out the receptionist did not register him properly and were not even in the queue. When we finally saw Dr Kelly, he spent most of the time chatting about irrelevant topics and no time investigating what was wrong. No temp checks, no checking breathing, nothing. My partner was prescribed $100 worth of allergy medication. Only to go to a different doctor today and find out he has the flu and these medications would do nothing. Waste of money and time, save yourself the pain and go anywhere but here.

This is, in my view, a very dangerous doctor (Dr Kelly Laurance). He takes an hour with you where he talks about things that are completely irrelevant, while people are waiting desperately. In one occasion he was falling asleep a few times in front of my eyes. He touched me when he didn't need to inappropriately in my eyes. And the worse thing - he recommended and prescribed a drug that has caused me great damage without warning about how to safely take it.
The other doctors in this are actually pretty good in my eyes, but DO NOT agree to sit there and wait for Dr Laurance. If you find yourself needing a doctor afterhours, there are other places and the hospital, and ER might actually see you faster (I have waited a few hours sometimes in this after hours doctors southport).

This is not a comment on Dr Melnick, he has always been a good doctor to me. I initially saw Dr Melnick and then he recommended I see Dr Kelly regarding a suture granuloma on one of my stitches on NYE. My wound had fallen apart and I was advised by the surgeons nurse to see a doctor urgently in case of infection (an overreaction I’m not sure). During the consult Dr Kelly was very rough and was asking me to respond to questions while pulling the skin above my lip apart, putting even more tension on the wound on my face. I found this concerning that it may make the wound worse and given it was on my face I wanted a good outcome. I tried to remain trusting. He was extremely rushed although that can be forgiven slightly due to it being NYE. However, he then turned to look at the suture on my back and I asked if he could remove it; and was very specific about it being removed properly. I wanted a good scar outcome. I am a (low level) medical student am aware of the correct method. I have also witnessed my own relatives who are medical people remove sutures with care. Instead he straight away ripped at it, then what appeared to me, pretended to cut at it before removing the stitch whole. He had ripped it out whole reopening the wound. The stitch was uninterrupted. A lot of blood came from the wound I noticed in the tissue he was holding. I was distressed and said , “I didn’t want you to do it like that.” I tried to remain respectful and said modestly that I was a medical student and believe it should be cut very close to the wound below the knot before being pulled out. He became angry and drew a picture, talking down to me. He repetitively insisted that it was cut and removed properly. I tried to be grateful in case I was wrong. I took the stitch home and studied it, questioning my sanity. Was I wrong? Why did I bleed so much then? I was upset about the wound having been reopened. A week later I asked my regular GP and he had a nurse come in to inspect it also. Yes it was ripped out. He should have simply been honest and apologised if it was a mistake instead of becoming angry and gaslighting me. This is a doctor I will take lessons from about what NOT to do. I am upset that my scar will be worse than what it should have been. Maybe my problems are small but I still should have been given respectful treatment.

Terrible service I’ve been going there often on for over eight years, Every doctor I’ve seen there just seem to want to get you in and out as soon as possible. It feels like very much a conveyor belt doctors surgery system, completely understaffed usually with one receptionist.

I wouldn’t encourage anyone not to go there, unless it was an absolute emergency, and in most instances, you will be waiting for hours to see a doctor.

Worst experience I've ever had in my life. The Dr insulted what degree I was studying.

Do not trust this place to let you have consent or be sterile. I went in for a eye problem. Was not only questioned on my clothing. Which was a bloody jumper because it is winter. When doing the examination, no effort was made to sanitise, use gloves or sterilise. No consent was given for him to touch my eye like that and he did more damage than anything.
