We are very impressed with the quality of our desk and the follow up service from Adrian at the office. After an initial mix up on delivery day, the boys returned to assemble the desk for us. They did this after hours on the way home from a busy day delivering to other customers. We understand that everyone is busy currently and that everyone has staff shortages. we were grateful for the extra mile John the delivery guy and his helper went too returning to out the desk together. We will use this company again for sure. Thanks 🙏🏽

8/22 Unfortunately, this company have been paid and so far we have been given nothing in return. They aren't replying to our email enquiring about the delivery date and their phone mail box is full. Hopefully they answer in the next day or so, or it looks like we will need to report them for fraud.
Update 1/23.....still no furniture, no delivery and no refund. Wonder if we can make the 12 months with no delivery and or no refund.
Update 10/1/23 our piece finally arrived!

This is an update….. the showroom at Acacia Ridge is now shut down and the shop next door told us they cleared out in the middle of the night. This company is a complete scam and are still operating online. I have been waiting over a year for a buffet and they don’t respond to phone calls or emails. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I have contacted QBCC and A Current Affair as this is devastating for everyone who has purchased and continue to purchase from them thinking it’s a genuine company! Read all the other reviews and please understand how bad this owner is.

Can’t believe I have to give even one star to write this post. Unbelievingly shocked and disgusted by the lack of service. Selz should not be allowed to operate. I’m guessing a fraudulent company. I ordered a buffet over 8 months ago. At the start they kept delaying my order and now I can not even contact them. I have tried to call and email endlessly to no avail. I will be trying to get a refund from my bank. Even if there is delays with containers etc communication is the key and customer service above all. You will get none of that here.
Don’t do it. Their items on the website look too good to be true for the prices .. don’t bother unless you want to lose your money or wait without any knowledge of what the ‘f’ is going on. Good luck.

We bought so many things from the store. Half the things were delivered but damaged. When asked to change they stopped answering phone calls. They are big scammers and lier’s. Product you see online is nothing like what is delivered. They never refunded my money. Please don’t buy from them.Looks like the whole family is in the business and scamming people.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE....I ordered 5 leather chairs and a matching dinning bench mid last year. After 6 months, I only received the chairs, but no leather dinning bench seat. The delivery drivers said that they will deliver it next week. After about an hour, I received a text claiming the order has been fulfilled. The website also says order fulfilled. I have been "chasing my paid in advance items" from 23 February to date, trying to find out what has happened to my leather bench. The phone number is now disconnected, and on-line chat says they are currently closed. I have had a couple of brief replies saying that they will refer it to the manager. They have taken thousands of dollars and not provided the agreed items. BEWARE, Don't buy from this company I am about to report their ABN to ASIC and them Fair trade. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE.....

Zero stars would be the more appropriate rating for this business. Like everyone else’s negative experiences that have been detailed here, my story was the same. The exact same. They promise an 8-12 week delivery at time of purchase, but when no product comes they just continue delaying delivery by 4 weeks month after month after month, with barely any communication let alone a reasonable explanation for the continued delay. It was only after I started getting concerns and asking questions about where my dining room table was (which I paid upfront $3000 for), that they seized communication completely and refused to process my refund. In the end after waiting and being out $3k for getting no product, no refund, and no answered calls or emails, I had to contact my bank to dispute the purchase and explain the awful service and I finally got my refund. Even the woman at the bank was utterly appalled when I explained what was happening. I had plenty of evidence of unanswered emails and calls and correspondence detailing their undelivered promises so that the banks had reason to investigate the situation. I assume it was only once the banks got involved to refund my purchase directly (THANK YOU WESTPAC) and then chased them down for the funds that they sent me an email to officially state that they ‘canceled’ my order. To anyone else that has paid these horrible people for an undelivered product, don’t waste your time, just contact your bank/credit card company and they can help guide you to make sure you are not robbed of your money.
This company should be shut down, for if you read the other reviews it is not just me who they are robbing. They are frauds and their actions go against the Australian Consumer Rights act. Even today they continue to advertise an 8-12 week delivery time when they obviously know and are well aware that they cannot meet this time frame; that is, if they even deliver furniture at all. They have their stories and excuses well rehearsed at this point. I’m just sorry that these reviews weren’t here for me to see at the time I actually made my purchase (which was a long time ago, by the way). It seems that there are several people, including myself, who have made online purchases around the same time and unfortunately have been through the same experiences. I am not one to complain or go out of my way to leave google reviews. In fact I am very understanding of the fact that delays sometimes happen. But this is far beyond what is reasonable and I hate to see so many others, likely many more, be out financially because of these crooks. Hopefully with enough horror stories posted on here people will think twice before purchasing or even glancing at this business.

SCAMMERS - Business has Disappeared.
It seems that this establishment lacks the intention to fulfill their obligations to customers. Upon further investigation, I discovered that they have vacated their leased premises, which have already been re-leased. Surprisingly, even the leasing agent seemed unaware of any previous tenants or any forwarding contact details. They have just upped and DISAPPEARED.

As they are still taking orders and payments on their website, My concern is that this business may be engaging in unauthorised and potentially illegal operations, either by trading while insolvent or, at the very least, by having no internet whatsoever of delivering the goods they advertise. Taking payment for goods with no intention to supply is an egregious breach of the law. As of the date of this review they are still taking orders online and taking payments.

It is disheartening to encounter a business that demonstrates such a blatant disregard for the law.
I strongly advise others to AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I have lodged a report with the ACCC, have made a complaint with NSW Fair Trade and have contacted ZIP Money who continue to be associated with and provide a conduit for the transfer of funds to this possibly insolvent business. ZIP Money has opened an investigation.

FRAUDULENT COMPANY! Do not under any circumstances buy from Selz. 10 months later I am still waiting on a console table and after months of delays, I finally requested a refund. No communication whatsoever, they hardly ever answer their phones and when they do they promise to call back, which of course they do not. I cannot believe they are in business and now I’m trying to get money back through the bank . Honestly I’m sure it’s only moments away from A Current Affair knocking on their doors. Absolutely disgraceful

This my 3rd review here. After my previous reviews, they actually told me that my reviews have somehow complicated the pick up and refund, when the fact was mistake entirely from them. My reply to them was kindly ratify the issue asap and close the chapter.

And yes, after more than a year, promise after promise from them, they have never pick up/refund the wrong size and dented console table, the dining table that full with scratches and the rusty, peeled tv unit.

They don’t do QC at all (as much as they claimed they do). All items shipped from China and they send to customer straight from port. Items are still in heavy wood crates with Chinese wordings on it. Easily take half day just to take out all the heavy duty nails.

Launched complaint at VCAT and they don’t even bother to respond. Simply because they are in Queensland whereas I am in Victoria, furthermore is an online store that makes the complaint challenging. This the WORST online retailer I have ever come across in Australia.

They don’t even deserve half star..

AVOID. Ordered a dining set, arrived in pieces and incorrect order. Been almost 2 years, and keep getting told lies about where my actual order is. I have a half table, incorrect chairs and considering they don't return my calls AND emails, I don't know what else to do.... Avoid completely! It has been TWO YEARS

I had my worst shopping experience in Australia with Selz Quality Furniture. Avoid them unless you love headaches.
Here is what happened to me:
In January 2022, I ordered 2 sofas, 2 one-seaters, 3 bar stools, 8 dining chairs and a few weeks later, I added one dining table to the order. I was told that since this is a custom order, it takes 8-12 weeks.
In march, when it was close to the end of 12 weeks period, I called to get an update. Nobody answered for a few days. I sent a few emails. After a few weeks in April, I was told that because of the public holidays in China, my order will be shipped in the beginning of May and I'll have them on 21 May.
I called them every day and sent many emails in the last week of May, but nobody responded. After a few weeks, I received an email that the ETA has changed and I will receive my furniture in the second week of June. Nothing happened in June, while they promised me in an email that I will have my furniture in June and I invited more than 30 people for my housewarming party for two weeks after their promised date, but I had to cancel that because of the their lies.
I called many times, usually nobody answered, but when they did, they gave me a new ETA every time. At the end of July, I was told that my furniture will be delivered. The delivery guy came two days after the specified date at 10:00 pm! However, my dining chairs were not the ones that I ordered (and there were only 6 of them, while we ordered 8) and the dining table was missing in the delivery!
Since then I called every week for an update but nothing happened. They answer the phone once in every 50 calls and when they do, they are very rude, saying this is what it is and I have to wait and a new ETA is given which is usually the next month!
After lots of fights, I decided to cancel my order and when I emailed and called, I didn't get a response for two weeks. Finally I cancelled and asked for a refund, but they said that I need to drop the 6 dining chairs that they delivered wrong before they can refund me. And the worst part, when they actually refunded, I realised that they didn't fully refund me.
I heard lies from the beginning and I couldn't take it anymore and that's why I cancelled my order. Even the furniture I received in July had the lowest quality ever. Not worth the money I paid at all!
They are the worst furniture store of Australia and I highly suggest anyone who thinks about buying from them, think twice. Read the reviews. They are very nice when you want to order and pay money, but you will be in so much trouble after submitting your order and you will be dealing with unresponsive staff for quite a long time!

Absolutely unhappy with worst customer service care and blame game.
Ordered a dining table and six chairs October last year. Did not receive 2 chairs out of 6 and was told they are back ordered due to covid. Been chasing and chasing for how it is going so far for the last 1 year and was told "It is on its way, The container has arrived" and no response afterwards. Asked for a full refund which they saying they will only refund 75% and nothing happened so far. Refund was processed one month ago according to what they said and also nothing happened so far. I'm sick of them playing with my products and money and have contacted CBS regarding to this matter. Would like to rate 0 star if I can. Will not recommend this company to anyone.

7 months later and no bed!! I was assured it would be 3 months. Now they don’t answer their phones or emails. They sent a refund form but failed to process the refund. Have reported them to accc and taking them to court cause this business is unacceptable. Do not waste your time or money

The worst online sales experience I have ever been through. Not recommended unless you are in Brisbane and can go and see your piece before you buy. After 10 months of the poorest communication I ever experienced I finally got my dining table. Whilst 2 months of the delay was my fault the rest was delays breakages and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Now that I have received it, it appears quite cheap looking and the finish is not what I expected from the photo. I paid $1000+ but looks worth about $400. I learnt my lesson a will never use this company again and never buy expensive items online again. This company has done a great disservice to every other decent online company. Thank goodness that the table was delivered by Allied Express….they were great!!!

Terrible experience, defective, cheap imitation furniture passed off as real leather and when you complain, no one wants to know about it.
We bought 2 Lomi lounges in October 2021, described on the Selz Quality Furniture website as 'genuine leather'
They are not genuine leather, they are a rubbery plastic material that is immediately evident as not being leather
We initially got a nonsense response back that the leather is 'stretched' leather and when we complained that the colour of the two seater is totally defective as it is two different colours and has clearly not been dyed correctly, we were told they must be sun damaged or out in the weather.
We asked for the lounges to be replaced with the genuine leather ones we purchased from their website and they said we needed to pay another $1000 for delivery (when the initial order came with free delivery)
We have now got to the stage we do not want a replacement - we have no confidence that second time around we will have a better experience, so we have asked for a refund. No one has returned our call or the 7 emails we have sent.
We have been told numerous times that 'Fred' the manager is going to call us - we have been waiting on that call now since mid February. I doubt that call is ever coming.
We have resorted to reporting this organisation to Fair Trading in the hope that we can get some assistance. Please don't put yourself through the agony!

The Office of Fair Trading is currently trying to intervene in my lengthy dispute with these clowns. I unfortunately ordered a few items with out looking at the reviews....here are my pro and cons. I will never order from them again now that it is done.

Cons: Terrible delivery times. (nearly 12 months to get the order completed)
Delivered the wrong items sent to me.
Delivered part items and told me it was complete orders.
Sent me multiple emails that items would be delivered when it had already been delivered.
Chair colour is wrong but it took nearly a year to get them and I would rather sell them than have to deal with them again.
Terrible phone and email communication- slow, surly and never followed up/ did what they said they would.
Told me they would tell me when they would deliver items and they didn't- just rocked up out of the blue.

Pros: I waited and worked to their time line and finally got the orders. Although it took nearly 12 months.
All good quality.
When they delivered the wrong items, they fixed it.
