The Hangi Pit Springwood

The hangi serve is massive and the meat and veg are tender and flavoursome with a hint of smokiness. I love the fry bread. The chips are also super crunchy and generously seasoned.

The hangi are huge, $18 with fry bread same serving every time for years, they haven’t cut portions despite the rising costs - like a lot of other places have.
Oysters and mussels very fresh, fry bread just like home!
4 mins off the motorway, 5 min to get back on, a must try if you’ve not been here yet! :)

Had a hangi and L&P for lunch - meat so soft and tender. Just needed a little seasoning to be perfect. Service was great and seemed to have a steady stream of customers through. I’ll be back.

I love going to the Hangi Pit, for my fish n chips fix. I tend to over order tho, but that's okay. Great service with a ☺. Always stocked up with your punetts of mussels, raw fish, trifle puddings, kina. Best place to get the best fried bread anywhere 👌👌Hangi packs. Go check it out.

Parking is really convenient, food 10/10 and the people who work there are really friendly and great customer service. Even though waiting 20 mins for the food, it was understandable due to the preparation and definitely worth it. I would highly recommend to people who want to try New Zealand foods🤩

When you need to satisfy your cravings for NZ food. This is my go to place. Love the menu, and seadogs are my kids favourite with the milkshakes. For me is the seafood and hangi. Highly recommend

Oof such amazing food. Feels like you're getting the full kiwi fish n chip experience that you would back home. We don't live locally anymore but we still drive out there just so we can get decent fish n chips. Decent prices and plenty of tables available to eat it. Didn't have to wait too long for food. Milkshakes are amazing!

Great signage which stands out a mile lol. Hangi fresh and hot, very nice. Fry bread light n fluffy and get one with every hangi for $18.00.

Called in for some good 👍 maori kai. Raw fish, hanging, mussels, mussel chowder and pancakes! Wasn't packed but service very slow? Nice outdoor setting to enjoy kai.

I love chicken and they make the BEST CHICKEN BURGER EVER !!💯 ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥for those will complain getting their food late is because your in the wrong place you should be in a fast food place like Macas and can't help it if there's too many people waiting in line cos you know it's the best place to eat so give them a break they cooking your food from scratch and not warming up your food in a microwave like other places do - just don't understand some people🤦‍♂

Omg bought hangi, kina, fried bread, oysters and had a sea dog..so yum. I don't care what anyone says.. best fried bread...well apart from my mums, nan's and sons lol

My husband and I go their every week. Love the food and they are awesome, very polite.
And the order doesn't take long unless you have a full house and we don't mind waiting anyway. Use are doing a awesome job 👍 keep it up

The Hangi Pit Springwood is the best Kiwi shop the staff are great and the food is yummy. Prices are good. Plenty of parking.

Honestly I/we my whanau absolutely love their kai! And I will happily pay $20 for a punnet of oysters 👍🏽
During Covid, the kai they sell just takes me that little bit closer to home🖤🤍❤
