Dr Maura McGill

Dr McGill is a passionate professional who treats patients based on their blood test results. This is science, and it works. The results are fantastic. Dr McGill is very caring, and she really understands hormones.

A lovely and kind doctor you will immediately trust. She has very much gone out of her way for me throughout medical consultations, and is able to explain every aspect of care she is providing to you in great detail. You will be able to rely on Dr McGill and not wonder if you are being forgotten about or not taken seriously. She personally has gone out of her way to assist me and my recovery. All the staff at her practice are so lovely and kind, and her nurses are very caring, each has taken a special interest in either providing me with holistic care or ensuring I am comfortable. I don't think I have been to a nicer medical centre before. The interiors look gorgeous and seem more like a hotel lobby than a clinic. I owe it to this medical practice and to Dr McGill and sincerely value my time as her patient.

Dr. McGill has changed my life. I've suffered dreadfully from endometriosis and had a hysterectomy in my 40s. For years I was hot, exhausted, and easily flustered.

Dr. McGill tested my hormone levels and found that none of the HRT I was taking was being absorbed by my body. She prescribed natural hormones and vitamins. I immediately felt invigorated, partially the vitamins, I know, but over time I saw the difference the hormones are making when I let my script run out.

Her treatment really works, she really has a way to help us with our hormone problems.

Dr Maura McGill is an extremely knowledgable and efficient Doctor who is passionate about her profession. I would highly recommend to all women who are seeking medical assistance

The reception staff were very helpful. If you are a FIRST time patient, I recommend that you call them and talk about your options and not book online as it doesn't have a lot of info on there. Dr McGill has a great knowledge of hormone treatment and I recommend her.

I found Dr M McGill very reckless in the prescribing of hormones, I went to see her wanting to tweak some things now that I am in menopause and after a short time on her prescriptions I ended up with worse problems that have greatly affected me and my self-esteem. I called the practice and told them and said the prescription for all the different hormones had given me sudden onset of several things and I wanted to speak Dr McGill. I received back a response that nothing was caused by her prescription of hormones and if I wanted to see her I had to pay again, and her fees aren't small! The initial consult was very expensive for someone who is, I believe, Not a specialist but only "specialises" in hormones. Refusing to speak to the patient even on the phone when they are querying their script and having problems is I believe, a lack of duty of care, and refused to budge on the price for a cheaper more affordable appointment to talk about it just seems so focussed on gathering money and negligent to me. Funny how other professionals gave me their time to try and assist me with the script and its effects on me to try and at least stop things getting worse and without any payment to them and with patience and care. I would never recommend this doctor and IMO the recklessness of her scripts for hormones. I regret ever going there.

Dr Maura's appointments are overpriced with little rebate. I went to her several times and found she does not do a thorough examination of all underlying causes. It was not until I found another doctor who also treats hormonal balance and other underlying issues that I realised I had been taken for a ride, at my expense. My friend also visited Dr Maura and we were given very similar treatments. At first Maura seemed to care, but after a few appointments I realised we are all just the same to her. I found her to be quite careless with her words and at a time when I felt particularly vulnerable, her words left me feeling even worse. Avoid - and find another doctor that specialises in women's health.

So I went to Dr McGill for over a year and was told that my thyroid was low, even though. I told her that my bloods tests were normal, she insisted I take S.M.XCell, to boost my thyroid. I was told to take two tablets a day, I only took one. Well its a good thing I only took one as the supplements doubled the size of my thyroid, it was overactive and then when I went off the supplement due to another doctors advice it was underactive. The endocrine specialist at the PA hospital have been treating me with Thyroxine in the hope that it would go back to normal, but alas that did not happen. So thank you Dr McGill for stuffing up my thyroid, I will never recommend you to anyone

SHOCKING!!! After advise from her staff that she could help manage female hormones I flew in from another state at great cost . Dr McGill After 3 minutes looking at my paperwork stated it was too complicated and couldnt help yet she advertises as a female hormone GP. Not even an apology. This is not an exageration. This Dr preys on the desperate and vulnerable do not waste your time or money!!

I saw this doctor 8 years ago & had to go to a specific chemist she was aligned with to purchase very expensive hormone supplements.
They were detrimental to my health.

Absolutely avoid. I went 2 years ago, treatment was fantastic. Went a few weeks ago, severe abdominal pain, facial hair, acne. Crying all the time. Nothing I have had before.

Wouldn't dare to challenge or ask questions you won't get the answers you actually want. When I asked about side effects of the medication I was "going to be put on" I couldn't get an answer.
