Brunch menu! All under 20 dollars and huge portion! I was impressed by the price how affortable they were without losing quality of food. They are very friendly and food we ordered were all great. $17 chicken Parmi was unbelivable.

In a world (at least a city) where there are plentiful options for getting a 'burger' none is so true to the form as the Jolly Burger from Cafe Jolly.

This review is going to focus purely on the burger. Why? because I could write a small novel on the burger alone. There are many other places that attempt the Burger. They have milk or brioche buns, they have all manner of meat patties and topped with exotic sauces and other concoctions.

Those other places have forgotten (or didn't know) what a real burger is. No need for any of that fancy and distracting options. Follow Cafe Jolly with their burger.

Egg, beetroot, lettuce, generous meat patty, cheese .. the ingredients go on.

Don't try to reproduce this - just try the burger, you won't be disappointed. Bring a friend to share the experience.

And, they have other food as well .. maybe, one day, I'll try something else.

Been coming at this resto for lunch and service has always been friendly. I usually order the Spaghetti Bella Vista, massive and really tastes good! Recently, I ordered the Agnello and the meat was so tender and flavourful. Just wasn’t a big fan of the taste of its sauce but still it was good! My other favourites are salt and pepper calamari and salmon caesar salad, they’re just so good and mouth-watering! You gotta try their chilli, too. And you gotta try their gelato for dessert, so good!

Wow, amazing food - chips were so tasty and clean, Spaghetti Gamberoni was perfect - fresh flavour balance of all the spices and a nice chilli level, to the perfectly cooked tender prawns, bacon, and pasta. With such generous portions I got to enjoy twice in a day 😃 Best almond flat white, best Lavazza coffee I’ve had. Thank you for a wonderful experience, looking forward to coming back and trying more menu items!!

Incredible stuff really put a smile on our faces and kept care of us ! Food sizes are very generous and you get so much for the price you are paying the pasta taste amazing and fresh !! The coffees are lovely too

Haven't been to Jolly for years, and we went back on Friday night, and the foods are still good and friendly services. We missed our fun and lovely waiter Kenny, who has been working there for a long time. Hope he will return soon. Thank you to the owner, who she still remembered us to make us feel welcome and important .

Really nice wait staff, good food and good portion sizes. The tiramisu was really good. They were also super obliging about any gluten free requests

I enjoyed a lovely bowl of pasta & glass of wine …and I may also have eaten gelato 🤣 - for a late lunch after seeing a movie at the French film festival on Easter Sunday. As a lone mature female diner I am happy to report I was immediately met with a friendly greeting, quick service & great food. I sat outside & enjoyed the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the friendly service.

Italian restaurant offering indoor outdoor seating in Leichhardt. Had some nice pasta, sea food platter and steak. The server was attentive for our group.

Great food & great service. Was there for a friends party upstairs of approx 15 people. Blown away by the variety, quality and generous sizing of the meals. Not been before and will be back. Well done Chef & Cafe Jolly!!

An unassuming little restaurant that serves good food with a friendly and accommodating staff. Ate here on a Tuesday night and it was a good turnout for a weeknight.

We enjoyed our first-ever visit to this resto for an early dinner this week. The food was really nice, everything other reviewers have said is true, and we will be back! Update 1: the owner says I can order my burger off-menu (and responded VERY quickly to this review), I'm happy😂 Update 2: we've been back for breakfast twice since my original review. I think we've found our new 'regular'! ❤ Update 3: lunch... burger (me) and steak (she)... OMG... (I think there's a problem with google maps, it won't allow me to rate Cafe Jolly as 11 stars out of 5!)

excellent, attentive service by the owner/hostess and the young waiter. The food was absolutely delicious and a large portion. The chef did a great job - everything was cooked perfectly and came to our table hot and well presented. The sauces tasted fresh and home-made. Prices were very reasonable considering the generous portions. I’ve paid more in other restaurants for smaller meals. They had some very nice choices on the menu and some good specials, including some great steak and seafood options with classic accompaniments. I will be coming back again!

From spaghetti marinara to chicken sandwich with mayo, all great flavour and freshness. The service was super-efficient and friendly and the price just right. We went to Cafe Jolly for brunch and would go back anytime for dinner.

excellent value for money, I got the jolly special big breakfast. they were prompt in taking my order and my coffee and food arrived quickly and was delicious. excellent vibe, it's right next door to bar Italia which is also lovely but this place is much quieter which is what I was after for breakfast

If you’re looking for a local haunt where they know your name and recognise you when you walk in this is it. Annie and Kenny are institutions in their own right. The new premise is bright and airy and the food is like a warm hug on a hard day.
It’s comfort food, it’s not about fancy plating or following trends, it’s about producing nourishing warm food that makes you feel like you’ve finally come home.
This place is like family.
