Crosstalk Records

As someone who was running around, hunting for a long desired record on RSD 2024, visiting 7 of the most prominent record stores in Sydney, Crosstalk Records stood out as the best. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the selection and the easy experience made my day. This was also reflected in the joy of the other customers in the store. I'll definitely be making the hour long trek to Norton street to shop here in the future. Shoutout to Samson, the GOAT, for letting me buy the Laufey record.

First experience with this local record store, but definitely won't be my last.

I had been looking for an album that was sold out in 99% of stores. I saw it available with this store. Gave them a call, they confirmed availability. I couldn't come in to the store, so the staff member offered to deliver it to me via Uber. Amazing ✓

Within 1 hour of my phone call, the record was in my hand. Smile ✓

I had the best experience at this record store!! First of all the air con was blasting which made my visit all the better. Both workers were SO helpful as I was trying to find the perfect gift. Browsing the store was a whole experience in itself (if your not looking to buy anything - definitely worth stopping in just to hang out as listen to great music). They also have a great selection of deals!!! Overall 10/10 experience. Thank you guys <3

Awesome shop on the Norton strip that sorely needed an injection of life and culture. Well done to the owner for trying something new and nailing it from day one. I look forward to spending too much money here in future.

Wow wow wow wow they have so much cool stuff. vintage and new record players, radios, speakers. the vinyl selection is outstanding and they will order in anything they dont have. the prices are so good, cheaper than anywhere else in syd. the owner is very friendly and great to have a chat with. the space is inclusive and very welcoming. on top of that its super easy to get to on the bus. immaculate vibes ✨

One of the greatest record stores in the inner west with a vast range of records to choose from and a great owner to chat with regarding problems with your record player , cleaning products etc.

Always a pleasure to be in this shop, the atmosphere is fantastic and the range is astounding! Josh and Eliza are both lovely people, Crosstalk is easily my favourite record shop and I’ll always choose to shop with them first ❤

Had a great experience with Josh today. After being recommened to check out crosstalk recs, we went down to the store. He went above and beyond to get us a second hand vinyl dj deck and was a pleasure to hang out with. He's a very nice genuine dude. We be heading back in future ! Thanks Josh

Me family and I have nothing but great things to say about Crosstalk and the staff, both Josh and Eliza know their music. My family decided to go down the rabbit hole looking for records but we also needed a Turntable and while Audio shops sell AMPs and what not, their knowledge on Turntables is bleak. Not here, the deep dive into Turntables at Crosstalk lead us to the LP7 which was set up and balanced perfectly by Josh and while we waited for delivery we were loaned a Turntable to listen to our newly purchased vinyl. Thanks Crosstalk. Local legends of Norton. 🤘

Genuine love for music, the nostalgia is ripe here. Couldn't recommend enough for a taste of what music stores used to be & should strive to be again.
No more of that stale retail experience where the staff just load the shelf and don't know or care about their products or customers.

The most excellent addition that has come to Norton Street, Leichhardt in recent times. The owner Josh is one of the nicest and most considerate people I've ever met, his staff are great too when he's not around. You can tell josh is proud of his store and wants nothing more than to share his love and vast knowledge of music with any person that walk through his doors. Always playing the best music from all genres and he has the coolest listening room with the coolest gadgets if you just wanna hang out and chill while testing ou some recorda and equipment. Makes me confident that Leichhardt is once again becoming a cool place to hang out.

Best interaction I’ve ever had with a business. I messaged them on instagram about a missing purchase not only did they replace it with express delivery, they even added an apology gift of a vinyl played at the Melanie listening party WITH a hand written pink letter. Literally never been happier in my life omg 😭😭
