Great portion sizes and excellent quality. I got the “Aussie Schnitzel” which is a twist on the classic parmi by adding a fried egg and BBQ sauce.
Highly recommend.

Bowra Hotel/33 on High is an absolute hidden gem, the restaurant has seriously good pub food.

If you're in the area and looking for comfortable family dining in a quaint country pub, you've definitely found it. Lovely staff and the meals have a touch you don't normally get in a small country town

Great Pub!
We stayed the night and enjoyed the warm service beautiful room and comfy bed. The front bar has such a nice atmosphere, full of friendly locals and the bistro was top notch, can recommend the 12hr slow cooked lamb shank. Absolutely will be coming back!

If you are after five star character and five star friendliness in an historic country pub, the Bowra Hotel is it. Worth the cost of a stay just to sit on the magnificent balcony and type a review. While you are here have a look at some of the local timbers the owners have used as they restore the building. Very highly recommended.

Great local pub with excellent drinks & grub. Schnitzel and T-bone for $30.... Unbelievably tasty at highway robbery prices....Did I mention the T-Bone melted like French butter in my mouth?

It’s been 22 years between drinks and well worth the wait. It’s the quintessential Aussie Pub full of tall tales and true.

It has was great to catch up with with a very dear old friend and to make some new ones.

Can’t recommend the place too highly. Great value/quality meals. Scintillating repartee and quaint colloquial lodgings that hark back to a time we all secretly long for.

One million stars.

You can't get anything more Australian than the Bowra hotel. I absolutely loved it, the people and environment feels like when you see a movie from Australia.

The staff is very friendly and the food Uffff is just fantastic.

Bowra has an incorrect reputation of being a rough place, nevertheless, I think that's because it was decades ago. I really enjoy having a drink with the locals which are LOUD, they say 7 bad words for every 10 they say, I can only understand them 30% of what they are saying, nevertheless, they are super friendly.

Pub meals don’t get much better than this, diverse menu with weekly specials and cooked by a chef with considerable flair.
We can’t go up the highway without making a small detour through Bowraville for a meal at this pub.
Keep it up Bowra.

Good old Bowra, lots of history in the old town. Once the commercial hub of the valley, now just a sleepy little town with a pub, supermarket, bakery that does a great chicken pie a few cafes and some left over hippies, rednecks and hillbilly's.
