Words cannot describe how genuinely lovely Paul and Lyn are. I broke down nearby. Paul helped me by pointing me in the direction of a good mechanic. Booked myself and my cat in at the last minute. The room was fantastic. I love the older furnishings, it's super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing was an issue for them. These two have reinstalled my faith in humanity. If you get the chance stay here. This establishment is a diamond in the rough.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance while I stayed with you. If I'm ever in town I will definitely stay here again.

Old fashioned service and hospitality.
The cabin was reminiscent of our small family home in the 1960s but was spacious, well appointed and clean with friendly, attentive service from our hosts. We certainly appreciated the local tourist tips, especially the dining recommendation of the restaurant at the Acacia Motel.
Would certainly stay again.

Cabins here are huge and solidly constructed. Plenty of space for our 4 young kids, and safe for them to play.
The shower was large with wonderful water pressure and hot hot water.
Paul the manager was very friendly and helpful, and had our cabin warmed up for us on arrival (we stayed in the middle of winter).
The decor is original retro, like a step back in time to an era of warm hospitality. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious motel room like cabins. Immaculately clean. Warm. Dogs welcomed. Paul and Lynn add to the attraction. They are really helpful offering up information for your journey. Great for a yarn. Step back in time to good old style and hospitality. Thank you.

The 2 bedroom cabin has a touch of the late 1950s decor, but that just adds to its cozy charm. The beds are super comfortable, clean and spacious. But what really makes it special is the warm hospitality of the owners. They're the kindest people in Coonabarabran and highly recommended a restaurant in Acacia Motel and we enjoyed a satisfying meal there. What a little hidden gem in Coonabarabran.

Lyn really helped me out after I arrived quite late at night after having car trouble on my way from Brisbane to Melbourne. I got there just after the lights had been turned off but she came out to help and not only provided a lovely room for the night but also pointed out the nearest mechanics for me so that I could be on my way the next morning. Plus the room was in great condition and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Castlereagh Village!

Booked a 2bedroom cabin for a month, two adults and a child whilst we relocated from the southern highlands region.
Owners & hosts-Paul & Lyn are faultless in offering their knowledge, and time but also so welcoming to all their guests. Our cabin #5 was clean, tidy, comfortable and serviced weekly during our entire stay. Hot showers, comfy beds, cool airy air conditioning and unlimited wifi.
We have fallen in love with the township of Coonabarabran largely due to Lyn & Paul’s old fashioned charm and great chats, matched by their very comfortable cabins, peaceful surroundings and attention to detail. We look forward to seeing you both around Coona. Thank you. AAA+++

The staff here were just lovely! I arrived with my two small children and a dog and the gentleman who booked me in went above and beyond. They decided I would be better suited in a room which hadn't been cleaned so we're quick to get to work cleaning it before I arrived (we called on the way to book) I was so touched so much thought had gone into the room allocation. The owner then came down to give me a hand parking and made sure everything was OK. I asked in passing about a take away who delivers, there were no up to date menus for the Chinese which delivers so the owner wizard to the golf club to restock his supply and give me one. The room is extremely clean and comfortable

Old style accomodation which is functional and bloody comfortable! A genuine country experience and attitude the most genuine people I have met in a long time and genuinely concerned with making the stay as comfortable as possible! We had issues with my car breaking down and were able to give us a lift to check on the car instead of walking in the heat and offered to let us stay in a cool place or the pool even though it was after check out time !!

Bloody amazing people ! Thanks again to you both!

Every now and then you find GOLD when you travel. This place is one of those times.
A wonderful, slightly dishevelled motel with plenty of room and lots of love.
You can always tell when the owners enjoy what they do.
And some cabins are pet friendly so BYO your favourite and have a wonderful stay.

Conveniently located, spotlessly clean, well appointed kitchens for self-catering, very comfy beds (with electric blankets), extremely friendly staff. Extremely good value for money. Will definitely stay again when traveling this route.

Rolled up without a booking, and was shown to our room personally. A nice homely place, on the outskirts of town. A really good night's sleep, and a shower with pressure that defied physics. Amazing!
