Vue Grand

May 2024 - We just stayed at the Vue Grand hotel in Queenscliff in a large group and really enjoyed the magnificent old historic building. Great bar and lounge to relax downstairs and terrific drinks and nibbles up on the roof top bar with sunshine and incredible 360 degree views across the town and bays. Thanks to all of the friendly staff.

Nice hotel. Amazing and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious. There is no parking in the hotel but enough around the hotel. There are plenty of food options in the area, but most of them close around 9 pm. We visited them before the public holiday. They were kind enough to keep the in-house hotel open for the guests on Sunday night.

We hadn’t booked in advance, but the staff effortlessly hosted me and 9 other guests for my 28th birthday. We sat in the main hall and it was genuinely a magical evening. The staff were divine, even bringing me out an unprompted cake and candle. The food was excellent, ‘best Parma I’ve ever had’ as quoted by a true inner north rascal who has the authority to make such a claim. Everything was perfect, the staff looked after us so well and we left promising ourselves to return soon.

We had the most beautiful lunch for a special family get together. It was delightful, and we got to enjoy the view upstairs. We had a lovely day, and the food was delicious.
We didn't stay so couldn't review the rooms.

Despite booking last-minute on Easter Sunday, the staff provided excellent service. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with a stylish and welcoming ambiance.

In short: One of the greatest dining experiences I’ve ever had

In long: we were offered the private dining room with beautiful stained glass glasses windows and amazing ambiance. We felt like we were in a movie. The food and drinks were amazing. I had a chicken Parma and had to post on my Instagram about it - it was THAT good. The highlight was definitely the service, the Vue Grand team went above and beyond and treated us so well.

Fantastic hotel located in the heart of Queenscliff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Many different styles of room from basic to luxurious. Perfect place to stay for attractions in the area, like The Blues Train, Queenscliff fort, Sorrento ferry and more, most within walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with a great menu. Check out the rooftop bar for an amazing view over the town.

Had the most amazing day at the Vue grand. Exceptional food and service in a great location near some lovely beaches. Thanks very much for everything.

The team here are the best!!! Our experience is purely based on Kate. Her efforts of returning my husband's wallet which had gone missing at a different venue in Queenscliff a few nights earlier were phenomenal and very much appreciated. If what she did for us is anything to go by then this hotel is in great hands. We will be back to visit.

Wow What a magical and beautiful place to stay. Right in the heart of Queenscliff. The Turret Room was outstanding with views to die for. The Rooftop bar was fantastic. The food was exceptional. The Brie and so I was told the Mussels were like heaven in the restaurant. Highly recommend staying there. Only suggestion is if you don’t like climbing stairs then this is not the place.

With a wealth of historical providence this lovely hotel excited and thrilled with the tiled floors and warmly decorated hallways. The epic dining room is set to display at the minute, not enough staff meaning only the front bistro is functional. This doesn’t impact your stay in any way! The rooms are stylish and clean. The modern facilities include a spa bath, for only a little extra. Included is tea and coffee, no table and chairs makes this a bit of a juggle.
Parking out the back is free.
The dining is tasty and the choices are limited but delightful! I highly recommend this as an experience for all adventurous souls.

Great old hotel. We've stayed here several times. It has a great atmosphere and beautiful decor. The rooftop bar is a must if it's open.

What a wonderful and full of history this hotel has! The spot is just so convenient, next to everything. Just around the corner there is a off limit park. Beach and shop are in the same street and the restaurant is just amazing. We ate fresh seafood and fish for dinner and it was just delightful.
Kate is a kind and helpful person. She offered to make our king bed in two individual ones, so my friend and I shouldn’t sleep together.
I will totally come back to this place. Thanks Vue Grand staff for a wonderful weekend!

Queenscliff is a bit of a sleepy town. Everything stops by 8.30pm. The Vue Grand was a very nice place to stay & eat. We had a room with a spa bath, and a separate shower. It was really nice. Pleasant and efficient service. Bistro is good quality.

The Grand Old Lady of Queenscliff still stands. Dropped in for a quick drink late in the afternoon on the wknd. They were about to open the rooftop bar but we preferred the quiet shady oasis out the back, past Reception. Soaked up the ambience, enjoyed mellowing out. Staff friendly too.

Had mums 70th with about 30 friends & family recently.. Excellent service from All Staff , we had a great lunch from a tasty menu . Best views of the peninsula from the top , the building throughout is definitely worth a visit.

Had lunch at the Vu, the calarmi was cooked to perfection. The Italian pinot grigio wine was also fantastic and a must go to.

Congratulations on your lovely waitress Kayla. Myself & my daughters visited today for a cold drink and lunch.
Kayla was a sweetheart, she even went above and beyond to help me by looking after one of my girls while I took the other to the bathroom.
