Queenscliff Black Lighthouse

The black and white light house is pretty cool definitely worth seeing if in the area

It’s at the army barracks so civilians can’t get in

A very nice and quiet place for viewing and for family and friend picnics. The view overlooking the ocean is just so breathtaking. There's also a place where couples can put their love locks 🙂

Fabulous location on the entrance to Melbourne bay. The rip tides and currents can make navigation difficult as the isthmus is only two and half miles wide with a designated shipping lane and remember this is the busiest shipping lane in Australia. I believe the port of Melbourne accounts for 80% of all containers entering the country so strategically speaking this is an important structure although it has probably been superseded by more modern means
