Wonderful experience and amazing food. Setting is gorgeous with beautiful sea views. Staff very attentive, especially the two teenage wait staff who were a delight. Wine prices so good. Highly recommend.

The food is amazing, the best food on the island with nice views, lovely environment and friendly service, provided a blanket and water for my dog kindly. I am so enjoyed. Just a pity that there is no more seafood platter. ❤❤❤❤

10/10 for this phenomenal restaurant & dinning experience, an abundance of local fresh seafood from Kangaroo Island, S.A. I cannot recommend this remarkable place enough. As a family we would love to take this opportunity to thank Carrie, the Chef/Owner, with her beautiful mum Kim, for making our private family celebration exceptional. My request, I must admit, I had high expectations, for the freshest of fresh, we definitely got much more than we requested. Carrie delivered perfection on each & every plate, from the freshly shucked Oysters, to the Kingfish, Prawns, Mussels, Calamari, Poached Salmon, Soft Shell Crab's & so much more, too many to list. Plus an open bar, commencing with Champagne, followed by the local Gin, wine's & so on. Carrie extended her talent, with the best Pavlova, EVER, fresh cream & fresh fruit, for the birthday cake, served with the best coffee we had on the Island. Carrie & Kim, we cannot thank you enough for going above & beyond for our beautiful mum's 80th, she was so overwhelmed with everything on her very special day. Had the best dining experience here. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The menu including the specials board was tantalising to read and worth the price and the drive. I highly recommend the place.

No too much choice of restaurant around the American River. Fortunately, we found this restaurant at the back of our cabin. Friendly staff and nice meal!

This was the best food we had during our stay on KI. The garlic bread was next level, everything was tasty and the ambience relaxed and friendly - a real wanderer's rest 😉. Book ahead, we missed out the week before.

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised with this place! With that combination of the staff being inviting and the cosy feeling of the place, it just felt like I was welcome in someone's house! :) Had a great little chat to the staff and the food was amazing I had the stone grill steak and partner had the Kangaroo. Both delicious! Reccomend to book.

Christmas lunch was fabulous. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the atmosphere was awesome.

This place is a hidden gem. We enjoyed an exquisite meal and delightful service.

godsmackingly fantastic food, the crab linguine is unctuous and supremely creamy and the kangaroo OMG. The oysters are a must have especially with the liimoncello type sauce and definitely order the garlic ciabatta, it's supremely good. Wonderfully fun, scenically beautiful, local produce and wine and a local family restaurant. Very highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. Don't go the big chain restaurants, go local and give support to the community that keeps places like this alive and thriving.

Although at first it was tricky to find, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Friendly service and great food. The fish is amazing and linguine was nice and spicy and full of flavour. There is a beautiful view for dinner. Definitely get your moneys worth and highly recommend.

We wandered in at 7pm on Sunday night, not knowing what to expect. All I can say, is it was the best meal I’ve had for a long time! Well done to the chef and host and hostess - great atmosphere. Generous serves - awesome! Thank you

These guys were amazing! They let us in on New Years Eve, when they weren't even open yet and even though the restaurant was fully booked for later. Food was delicious and the place had a great vibe overall, with lovely decor and views. We'd love to be back one day.
