The Oyster Farm Shop, Kangaroo Island

Amazing experience here, had the platter for two (as pictured). The prawns were delicious, the oyster were fresh and perfect with a little lemon. The Fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, staff were friendly and very welcoming!

Fresh flavoursome seafood; whatever your choice you will not be disappointed; we ate chilli and cheese oysters, abalini, oyster pies, and smoked mullet accompanied by a KI brew.

WOW! WOW! WOW! What an amazing island gem this cute little venue is. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a treat..the staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the produce and the island in general. The oysters were fresh and beyond delicious which encouraged us to try several other dishes that certainly did not dissapoint! Cannot wait to go back and will definitely be recommending to friend and family.

So amazing! We did the shucking experience with Jo and it was so much fun. Very informative and very delicious oysters. Would 100% recommend!

Came here for the first time in July 2016, there is eating areas outside and in...
In the tourist season, this little shop gets very busy and packed. So we ordered the same meal again...
OMG, the flavour bombs in your mouth with the cooked and raw oysters. The smoked pate, smoked herring to die for if you like smoked produce. All the flavour memories came back, and I think flavour wise, it was just a tad better than the first time... It does cost $100 for two, it is alot of money, but i think it's well worth it. Will be back again...

Absolutely beautiful!! Well worth the visit, you won’t be disappointed! We had natural and honey, soy and ginger oysters (as fresh as can be!!) and the abalini, so yummy! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a really fun upbeat vibe. Will definitely come back!

Aqua platter for 2 ppl, oyster is not in season so added some sauce to grill it. So yummy 😋 and a great variety of local drinks. Good to check out when u visit Kangaroo Island 🏝

We indulged in hot and cold variety of oysters, prawn cocktail and a whiting toastie. Absolutely sublime. Must visit when you arrive on Kangaroo Island. Service was lovely and food delicious.

My good friend Liane and myself (Kristeen) had lunch there yesterday and we had a bottle of False Cape Pinot Grigio, shared a dozen Oysters also had a Mullet on Toast with Salad and everything was Scrumptious last but not least “We’ll be back”

This place is fabulous! The fresh local produce was exceptional. I can’t stop thinking about my lunch. We had the Mullet toast and it was incredible. Prawns and oysters also were 10/10.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t fault this beautiful seaside gem.
Can’t wait to come back!

I mean we lucked out as there were no oysters at the oyster farm as they're out of season. That tells me two things, the ones they do sell at the right time have to be fresh and they compensate by serving up some incredibly tasty marrin instead!!

Came here for lunch and the seafood was amazing. The staff were very accomodating and the platter was divine particularly the oysters, abalone and marron, pate nd smoked fish. Would definitely recommend highlight of the trip so far!

I visited this business three times whilst I was on this beautiful island. I purchased uncooked produce and enjoyed everyone of the 36 oysters I was lucky to get. The smoked Coorong mullet were delicious. The staff were very friendly and were happy to talk.
I see there are a few negative views on this platform. Fair enough. There is no accounting for taste. These views were responded to in a reasonable manner.
This place is what it is. If you are expecting a restaurant experience you are not going to get it so if this is what you are after then please don't go.
I had brilliant experiences on my three visits and the products I purchased were superb.
So to the staff of the shop I say please continue doing what you are doing and don't get down because of poor reviews. Opinions are like bottoms. Everyone has one. Well done and I hope you continue to prosper.
The king sized oysters are just the best I have ever had and I have eaten oysters all around the world where they are available. Pristine waters mean you get the best there is 🙂🙂🙂.

Must stop on KI - we only had a small plate of there flavours but the other groups had some amazing spreads sitting outside with pipis, lobsters, etc - grab a can of KI beer to pair up

It's not the size of the shell, it's the size of the taste!!
AMAZING and definitely worth the visit... just get there at 11am and not later to beat the line ups.

The most delicious seafood, especially the oysters of course. Lovely selection of Kangaroo Island beers and wines. A must stop and lunch when on Kangaroo Island!

I wish I had taken a picture but we devoured our food before I had the chance! We had farmed marron which was unbelievable. It was cooked to perfection and taste was out of this world. Not only was this a dish we could eat daily I genuinely had a great time at the farm shop. Service was fantastic and extremely welcoming while being informative with no pressure and let me take my time to decide from the options. I would recommend visiting and supporting a local family while enjoying top notch quality shellfish that is insanely delicious.

Unassuming local seafood shop. Nice fresh local produce. The oysters were very tasty but we esp enjoyed the small abalini. The staff were very friendly and taught us how to cooked the abalini. Don't expect a big commercial seafood shop as it is not. But you will not be disappointed with the quality.
