Aussie Opal Diggers-Underground

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Aussie Opal Diggers and visiting Coober Pedy. I can't fault the accommodation. It was easy check in, good communication with our host, good location, very clean and comfortable. I have already recommended this stay to friends. PS The kids loved it too!

It is a great place for a big group to stay. They have many sofa beds and the bund is great as well. Love to live underground which is very warm in winter. Overall, it’s pretty balanced with the price and quality

Has potential provided the following are done:
1. Provide a vacuum cleaner either for guests or the cleaner to use.

2. Redo the kitchen and cabinets around the dugout. It will transform the place.

3. Don't tell potential visitors that you provide "Continental breakfast" when it's only cereal and instant coffee / tea that you provide (that we have to prepare ourselves). Just say that these items are provided in the pantry.

Lovely bed in my bedroom though and the silence in the dugout provides for a peaceful night's sleep.

Had to clean the shower cubicle before I used it. Taps in kitchen and bathroom were leaky. Kitchen benches were sticky. Walls were crumbling. TV didn't work. A provided breakfast was advertised but it was a choice of out of date rice bubbles or out of date cornflakes with a opened carton of UHT milk in the pantry. We didn't have the provided breakfast. Not a clean place to stay..but at least the place felt secure, the beds were comfortable and there were lots of clean towels..
