The Lakes Bakery Cafe

Had a great breakfast in this amazing cafe on the side of Lake Bonney. Bread made on the premises was a highlight, and the fact that they serve our preferred brand of coffee - Vittoria - took the rating from a 4.5 to a 5!

This is a great cafe that serves delicious food, great friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere with gorgeous views overlooking Lake Bonney. Plenty of easy and free parking. Another great example of a family owned regional business kicking goals against the odds and leaving customers with a smile on their faces.

We went into The Lakes Bakery Cafe for breakfast as it was a freezing cold morning and the kitchen in my Caravan is outside. The Waffles were great, even had a decent amount of Maple Syrup which most places skimp on. My hubby said his bacon and egg roll was good too. The coffee was great as well.
The young lady behind the counter was Emily, she was amazing, nothing fazed her, she was the only sales person behind the counter for the early morning hour, it was reasonably busy, she never stopped and was very professional and gave excellent service the whole time.

Good friendly and fast service. Great food. Were accommodating. Good place for kids. Spatious seating areas inside and out. Nice views of lake. Recommend.

Best coffee I've had for a while and got to drink it while looking out over the lake. A very nice spot. The staff were very friendly and polite. 👍😃

For me, they always make my black Earl Greys teas to perfection and served up with my favourite vegan health bar. And, sitting outside during warm beautiful Spring days by the lake.

Buns and pastries were very nice. Coffee was very nice and surprisingly hot. Great variety of foods.

Good food and a lovely atmosphere. Excellent views of Lake Bonney from the outdoor eating area. Unfortunately they were understaffed on Mother's Day but the young lady at the counter did an exceptional job keeping up.

Ordered big boxes of hot chips for lunch. Super quick cooking time and very tasty chips. Kids ate them all.

Very nice place with a beautiful view over Lake Bonney, inside or outside seating,good selection for breakfast and lunch, we would have liked to have an evening meal but unfortunately they weren't open at night when we were here during a quiet time in October.
