Copperclub Golf Club

Best 9 hole course around. Immaculate fairways and very good greens. Fairways are wide and there are 2 flags on each green so you can have some variety on the 2 turns over the 9 holes. Course is set on top of the hill so exposed to the prevailing wind but the wide fairways allow for this. 4 holes with the wind, 4 holes against the wind and one par 3 with a cross breeze as you turn. Carts are available but it's good for walking too. Clubhouse is well stocked and staff are friendly. A must play course if you're anywhere near the copper coast

Big wide fairways..huge greens..immaculate condition...just can't understand why I scrubbed 4 holes. Can't wait to get back there.

I'm a member of Glenelg and Royal Adelaide and this course is in far better condition in the month of September. Awesome golfing experience! The only down side is it's a nine hole course and the sandy waste is full of stones. Other than that, spectacular!

Two recommended short golfing trips.
1/ THREE DAY TRIP from Adelaide driving to Whyalla Golf Club…… staying overnight then playing Port Augusta Golf Club next morning, then off to Copperclub Golf Club at Port Hughes In the afternoon then staying and playing Clare GC in the morning and finally onto Balaklava in the afternoon...... then home!!
2/ TWO DAY TRIP From Adelaide to Balaklava GC in the morning then off to the Copperclub GC at Port Hughes in the afternoon. Driving to Clare for the evening staying at the “Middle Pub” hotel. Playing Clare GC in the morning followed by Burra in the afternoon.….. then back home…… stuffed …… But we had a fantastic time and can highly recommend these as great “short” golfing holidays.

All courses have WATERED FAIRWAYS AND GREENS.

23/6/23 UPDATE
The Copperclub Golf course was in excellent condition given that nearly 10ml of rain fell the day before. Fairways and greens were excellent. The fairways are wide with the ball rolling beautifully enabling that extra bit of distance. The real challenge is when approaching the greens because most are surrounded by strategically placed bunkers. When landing on the greens you need to be aware of the undulations otherwise your ball can easily roll off.
We played on a very windy day. Well worth the drive from Adelaide. Add this to your bucket list of courses to play in country S.A.

25/10/22 UPDATE
As expected the course was in excellent condition. The fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent condition. Get off the fairways and you are in trouble. As expected the usual strong winds made for a challenging day, particularly off the back markers.Special shout out to Rohan and Paul who were very welcoming and helpful in the club house. Members are always very friendly. We had another great day out. We look forward to our next visit. Thanks

Our second trip north - same itinerary as a couple of years ago

The course was in similar condition as last year…… Excellent condition. The Greens had just been mown and were great to putt on. An excellent layout. The time we played was in total contrast to last year……Very windy. This made it extremely challenging. We still had a great day. Please read my previous review.

Great golf course, 3rd year annual golf girls weekend away. Drinks on the deck afterwards were very refreshing.

Impressive course...gives all abilities the chance to score well...highly recommend to give it a go...pretty confident that you wont be disappointed...its a winner and in great condition.

Relaxing

Played nine holes today at this great little course. Beautifully maintained, wide open fairways and nice soft greens - but lightning fast! Would thoroughly recommend! We walked with a pushcart and no problems at all! Very friendly staff and even bought a nice new golf shirt.
