Port Hughes Tavern

It was a long wait for our meal but it was a busy weekend and when the meals came they were all excellent! We had a party of 10 and everyone of us enjoyed our meals. Staff were very friendly and great service.

Friendly staff, food was yummy and decent sized serving!
Kids had the calamari and pasta. Both came out very quick and they loved it!
Steak special was cooked perfectly for my wife. Beef schnitty was massive and i tried the Chicken Avocado… yum! Sorry was too hungry to take all the photos :p Oh and the gravy and mushroom sauces were on point too!
Finished off with some churros and sticky date which was massive!

The first time here, food was sensational 😋 service, which was friendly, good live band playing, and the locals here are all good people loved it happy vibes will be back for sure

The service was amazing. Had to wait a bit for food but honestly it was delicious so was worth the wait. The atmosphere was a vibe.
Can't wait to visit again.

The bar and food service was top notch with friendly service across the board.

We sat outside on a cooler night due to having a dog tag along with us and the staff were more than happy to fire up the heater for us.

The food was great with two steaks, local whiting and a chicken schnitzel ordered.

All came out quite quickly and all steaks were cooked beautifully to order.

Well worth the visit.

Have always loved the Port Hughes Tavern but none more than tonight!!! THANK YOU for your kindness and the most succulent braised steak, mash n veg we’ve ever tasted!!! We will be back highly recommend to all!!!🙌🙌🙌

I rarely do reviews, but stopped there for lunch today whilst having a weekend at Moonta Bay.
My wife and I both had a Braised Steak with baby carrot, broccolini and mash potato for $23.00 each.
It was great value, and the meat was incredibly tender and full of flavour.
The staff very friendly and efficient.
Will definitely go back there again when we are in this region.

5th time eating here in 15 months. On Wednesday 26th June my friend had the surf n turf, I had the sirloin steak. Melt in your mouth. Excellent food. Ate again 2 nights later. Chicken snitty was tender & melt in your mouth. Chips were done beautifully. Best food locally.

We had a great time at the Tavern on Australia Day. It was very busy but the staff kept the tables cleared and were always friendly. Everyone sung and danced along with the entertainment provided and enjoyed the sausage sizzle. Well done. Highly recommend a visit to Port Hughes Tavern.

Great food and great cocktails! Looking forward to returning. They do get busy so booking is a must. You may still have to wait for your meal because of how busy they are but that’s to be expected anywhere when it’s full of people. Thank you.

Well i have just had a delicious Gluten free and dairy free meal. Maddi our server went above and beyond to make sure my meal was perfect . Service was fantastic by all.

Great food and great sea views. Easy parking and lots to see. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Great for a lunch then stroll down the beach or jetty.

Can highly recommended this wonderful Tavern. It's the 1st visit and we will be back, the food was great service was wonderful and I enjoyed the desert so much I wanted to lick the plate.

Absolutely a must to visit at Pt Hughes. Better if you book, it's popular! The Stone Grill is exceptional!! The Service is superb.

I’d read reviews about the ribs here so thought I best try them. Definitely lived up to expectations and the seafood was also great. Staff were very friendly and we then had a great experience meeting the locals in the sports bar section and seeing in the New Year!

The meals are very good
But Friday night and Saturday night get in early as they have been totally booked out

Food was fabulous, get in early cause gets very busy..service is quick and friendly
