Port Hughes General Store

Love our Thursday morning plunge and Brekky at the Genny!! They do great coffee, service with a smile and great veggie burgers too. Their food is reasonably priced and tasty!

Never had a bad experience at Port Hughes' general store. We always grab the seafood basket here and never had a problem. Staff are very friendly all the time! Always a staple to stop by here when we go fishing at the jetty 😊

Had bacon and egg turkish roll this morning with a hash brown in the middle, absolutely delightful feed, yummy and huge, + another great coffee. 🙂 Well done to all staff again.

Got takeaway for family. Service good and plenty of chairs inside and out on verandah to watch sunset or the pier.

Went there for lunch and were most satisfied ,We will definitely return when next travelling to The Yorke Peninsula .The service we received was tremendous very friendly operators ,and establishment was very clean as well most pleased with our visit

Amazing fish n’ chips, beautiful calamari too! Amazing store with everything you need- an amazing variety. Looks like just a “normal” general store on the outside but an absolute gem inside! Beautiful lunch! Thanks for the merch to remember our trip too!

10/10, not only were they exceptional with service & food quality while we were on holiday, they went above and beyond when my husband lost his wallet, and we were 3+hours back home once realising, they without hesitation posted it back to us the same day. Super friendly & welcoming staff, enjoyed our time in port Hughes and will be back.

We love this place. The team that works there is great. Friendly and patient. The hamburger with the lot is always good, and my mum loves the fish.

Basic fishing supplies and a few gift lines also available. Toilet facilities just outside along with a playground and picnic tables nearby.

Best fish and chips we've found on the Yorke so far, fresh, well cooked, not too oily! Less than $50 to feed 7, no complaints from me!! :)

Always a busy little place to grab some takeaway, a coffee or ice cream from. Staff are always efficient and helpful, food and drinks are really good. Generous serving size of the scoop ice cream. Nice views looking out to the beach, great outdoor dining area.

Great local takeaway in Port Hughes. Good value takeaway, good coffee. And plenty of snacks if you are staying at the caravan park.

Store closes around 7, and gets busy for dinner orders too. So get in early if you don’t have time to wait (wait wasn’t bad, they just get busy).

Great grilled butterfish and perfect chips. Staff were pleasant and efficient, I accidentally dropped my chips and the lady kindly gave me replacements. Totally recommend this place.

Great seaside spot to eat fish and chips. Nice outside area where you can watch people fishing on the jetty as the sun sets. The food is also fresh and tasty. Works burger and seafood basket.
