Down to Earth Farm Retreat

Stayed here with our young children and it was just amazing. Met Debbie on our arrival, she was warm and friendly and her and Graham helped us out with an incorrect detail on our booking which was our fault with nothing but helpfulness and patience. The property is expansive, beautiful and available for guests to enjoy. Sustainability is a high priority which I love to see. Everything you could need is provided. Super modern, amazing bathroom! Our only regret is not having longer to stay. 10/10 recommend a stay at this amazing retreat.

Wow, what an amazing place to stay at! We extended our stay to spend more time in this beautiful hideaway. The hosts are inspiring great people. Down to earth is a peaceful hideaway in beautiful nature and the house is a class of its own. I we wish we had the time to stay much longer!

Having built 3 earth houses myself and running a B&B, Down to Earth was an absolute treat. Private, quiet, excellent amenity and close to the rail trail. Hosts helpful and friendly.

Such a beautiful property!! I could easily spend a week here, so peaceful and relaxing! The host was down to earth and made us feel so comfortable 🙂

Amazing location, beautiful apartments. The views from the lakeview apartment were breathtaking. Inside the space was so incredibly clean and well presented. The hosts were lovely people and so interesting to learn a little about the eco friendly earth homes. Highly recommend.

The views were incredible, such a beautiful place to be at sunset sipping a wine! And the Lakeview apartment was a perfect space for my partner and I. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and big clean bathroom. Would recommend!

Amazing place to stay.
Amazing place to stay for few days when in the area and to experience the eco living.
There are 2 units in the retreat, first one is one bedroom and second one is two bedrooms apartment with fully equipped kitchen and barbecue.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was great. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very pretty. The house is built in such a way that it stay cool even in 40C heatwave.

A gem of a place to stay if you're in the area. A short 15 minutes from Bairnsdale. A beautiful passive solar earth ship style home full of warm natural materials. Lovely big property with amazing views out all sides. A quiet bush setting means you're likely to get a glimpse of some of the native residents at one stage or another. Hostess with the mostess, Debbie will ensure you're set up with everything you need for a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, amazing scenery, super clean and very comfortable accommodation. Yummy breakfast provisions, fresh coffee and Debbie even made hot cross buns on Good Friday for us and Graham made a great latte just before we left. Close to surrounding towns and will definitely be returning. Thank you Debbie and Graham for your hospitality.😀

Mum and Dad pass on their kindest thanks to Debbie and Graham for their wonderful hospitality and stay at 'The Cottage'. In the stable of 'Down to Earth' accommodations but located in nearby Bairnsdale the photos just don't do this wonderful property justice. The timber workmanship in the renovation is just remarkable. Decorated beautifully and with every comfort and amenity they needed they really had a lovely stay.
