Queenie is beyond amazing. I went to her 5 days before my wedding to add off shoulder sleeves on my wedding dress and she was able to create my dream sleeves in such a short time and without any alterations. Perfect on the first fitting. She was patient, kind and willing to help. Cannot thank her enough for making my day that extra special. My sleeves looked amazing and I felt so comfortable. Life saver!!!!!

Where do I even begin! Queenie is THE queen of dress making!
I had my engagement party in March and went to her end of January. She promised me the dress will be finished 3 weeks before the engagement and she delivered! She nailed my size, did not need to alter my dress at all!!! She knows what she’s doing and she does such an amazing job, I got so many compliments it was crazy!

Highly recommend Queenie! I was nervous about my wedding dress I ordered from a bridal shop, when it arrived it was a different fit (bone was all wrong in the bust) and didn’t sit well
on me. I thought someone could make it look better but it would never be perfect, however, Queenie absolutely nailed the alterations! She is so thoughtful and takes her time to ensure you’re happy. My dress looks better than I thought it would, it’s perfect :)

I first met Queenie back in November 4 2023. I was such a mess at that point. Just a couple of days before that date (on November 2 2023 to be exact) - my sister, my future sister-in-law, my mum and I flew from Melbourne to Sydney to go to the bridal store in Penrith NSW (they were unfortunately the only bridal store in Australia that had this dress) where I was booked for my wedding dress alterations. As soon as we got to that bridal store, everything that followed was truly heartbreaking. They couldn’t give me a plan on how they were going to alter the dress; they said that since I already booked to collect the dress on the 14th of December 2023, they could do a “same day alteration” then. I was so disheartened and confused on what to do, and what made it worse was when they said that I only have 5 minutes to decide on what I want to do because they had another appointment. We were set out to fly to Thailand on the 30th of December 2023 for our destination wedding, so the timeline was super tight.
When we said that we’re just going to take the dress with us and find an alterations place in Melbourne, they kept insisting they were the best people for the job and that it would be “extremely hard” to find someone who can alter a hand painted gown.
As we were waiting to board the plane back to Melbourne, I was looking at highly reviewed wedding dress alterations in Melbourne and found Charli Couture. I was grateful that I could book an appointment on the 4th of November 2023 as it was a Saturday and we didn’t need to take anymore time off work (the other bridal store kept insisting that they were only available for Thursday appointments). I was hopeful, but prepared for another potential heartbreak as it did get into my head that I might not find anyone to alter my dress. But I didn’t need to feel that way at all! As soon as my sister, my future sister-in-law and I walked into the bridal store, Queenie smiled at us and called me by name! Queenie is warm, bubbly, personable and just made you feel so at ease! She wasted no time and got started right away! She was so thoughtful and considerate throughout the entire experience. She explained how the entire process was going to work and was very open about the cost which I greatly appreciated! She worked with me to make sure I was happy with everything!
We were able to schedule for collection on the 25th of November 2023 (which was actually 2 days after my 30th birthday)!
When I tried on the dress on the 25th of November, I knew that I made the right choice by taking the dress back home to Melbourne and going to Queenie! I could finally appreciate the dress for all its glory because it felt like it was made just for me 🥹!

My husband and I got married on the 8th of January 2024 at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. It was truly magical - it felt like an absolute fairytale!
I’m forever grateful to you and your talents Queenie! The entire experience with you from start to finish was truly exceptional! When I see this dress, I don’t think about the negatives - all I see is how much love and care you put into making this dress the very best version that it can be for me!

Queenie was a true fairy god mother. I came to her with a sample dress that was too big and was an A-Line dress. I gave her my vision and requests to create a multi-look dress and change the shape to a mermaid dress and she made my dream dress come to life. Queenie was super friendly, attentive and professional. I wished I came straight to her for a custom made dress.

I got my dress altered here and Queenie was absolutely amazing. From the start she made me feel totally comfortable and at ease, even going so far as to remember my name. Her turnaround time was incredibly quick, allowing me to pick up my dress within only a few weeks. I’m extremely happy with her quality and the way she altered the dress, leaving it perfectly fitting and still in good quality. Overall she’s a 10/10 and I’d highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of working with Queenie at Charli Couture to make not one, but two wedding dresses for my recent nuptials, and it couldn't have been a better experience.

For the first gown for a ceremony in Melbourne, Queenie recreated a dress i found in a photo and made the dress into a Cinderella ball gown that blew everyone away! The fine details and craftsmanship we're very evident, and were commented on multiple times by our guests, as well as passing members of the public! She used the most luxury materials and created a masterpiece of a wedding dress of which I am so proud, and felt fabulous to wear - it was a really wonderful part of our day!

In addition to this, she also made my wedding dress for our celebration wedding in Bali, which was honestly the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen. It was a completely different style of dress to my Melbourne dress, which just shows the variety of skills and capability that Queenie possesses as a dressmaker! It fit and felt so light and in Bali, that's super important to get right. The deadlines for this were very tight, but she worked tirelessly day and night to meet these, and made sure everything was 100% perfect! My husband was blown away when he saw my in my beautiful gown, which was a wonderful seal of approval for Queenie's wonderful work.

I owe it to her for making me look and feel so beautiful on the most Important days in my life. Thanks Queenie for all your hard work, and you're just a beautiful person.

Queenie did an amazing work with my Indian bridal gown. She had fantastic ideas of how we can bring out the best of the dress by adding extra side cape and a beautiful beaded neckline! Her work is very polished! And a beautiful finishing touch as desired.

Queenie did an amazing job on my intricate lace wedding dress. The initial consult was easy and relaxed and she had my dress ready in a few weeks. I wasn’t in a rush for alterations but I have no doubt reading other reviews that if I was on a super tight deadline she would make it work. Highly recommend!

Queenie is a miracle worker, her attention to detail is unmatched and her tailoring saved my wedding dress! The delicate fabric of my dress meant that it needed careful and considered tailoring and Queenie worked tirelessly to address the issues. Not only did she work incredibly quickly, the care she takes in doing things the right way means that there are no corners cut. Queenie is so kind and very talented! My dress was 2 sizes too big and being a mermaid dress, it was very important for it to fit my body in the right way. She did such an amazing job at keeping the lace in the right spot while still bringing everything in from the bust to the hips. The dress was also strapless so it was very important to me to feel confident in this dress and have it fit right which she did such an incredible job on. Never knew a wedding dress could be this comfortable to be worn throughout the wedding day. Queenie is the best person to look for if you're looking for a dress custom made to your body. She's just so lovely to work with and have the skills of a fairy godmother.

I walked into her boutique with exactly what i wanted in mind, and she turned it into the wedding dress of my dreams. And the fact that this was happening in the midst of Covid, Queenie continued to communicate with me via text and made sure the dress is made in time. Highly recommend.
