Wow. I tried the seafood curry laksa and it blew me away. Great flavours, the soup was nice and creamy and the seafood and vegetables are in abundance. Highly recommend!

Small local restaurant offers decent range of Malaysian food! The portions was quite large. Staffs were attentive and friendly. I can tell the restaurant is popular for its authentic flavor. I didn’t like the chick satay as it was quite dry. The seafood laksa was excellent!

Great food, reminds me of home! I highly recommend the Homemade Tofu with Broccoli and Minced Pork even if you're not into tofu, the texture and taste is different to your usual tofu.
We ordered 6 dishes for a group of 5 and was enough for us. Other than the tofu, we liked the Beef and Vegetables with Cashew Nut as well, but really they were all delicious!

Honestly. This is the best laksa in Melbourne. The ingredients are so tasty and so delicious. A chicken laksa gets you a bunch of veggies as well like eggplant, okra, beans and more. Super delicious plus they will give you tasty sambal on the side. This laksa is the real deal. Two types of noodles. Staff are super friendly. I’m so glad I found this restaurant.

Good Malaysian food in Armadale. They made good lou yew sang for Chinese New Year. Decent selection of dishes. Love the ice lo hon guo dessert which was very authentic. Make sure you book a spot to avoid disappointment as there are not many tables in the restaurant.

Came for late dinner.
Service was very friendly and pleasant.
Dishes ordered were all very tasty 👍
Will return to try the other stuff next time.

Mini lobak
Very tasty, can definitely taste/smell those spices mixed in with the meat fillings.

Salt & pepper chicken ribs
Nicely done, taste not too overwhelmingly tasty/salty.

Sizzling homemade tofu
This one is one of those thing that you must have to share!
Very nice tofu with egg and meat+mushroom sauce.

Also get that fresh cut chili with soy sauce on the side to complement those dishes and you're all set 👍

Excellent Sunday lunch special--- popiah and rojak. Both made of fresh ingredients and very authentic. Restaurant situated at a beautiful and upmarket suburb Armadale easily accessible by tram and train. Parking a bit tricky but still available

Good food and exactly what I expected, it's not high end... I grew up in SG and Malaysia, 20 years.

Its not perfect and should remove its basically Thai items from the menu which are a no go

Being said I rate this place, enjoy.

First time try this restaurant. First impression is very localized food, very authentic Malaysian food. Teh tarik have strong tea flavor, taste like homemade, not instant. Prawn noodles is one of the best in Melbourne, prawn noodles soup is very strong in prawn flavors, it is very hard to find in Melbourne. Best for winter. Wat tan hor noodles are obviously fried before, very good in flavor. Egg gravy is smooth and full of flavor. This restaurant is not very big. Better book before. It is on main street, very close to tram stop. On street parking available.

Great spot with authentic Malaysian food - we got the Laksa and Char Kway Teow, and both were fantastic.

Great wok hei utilised, and could be tasted in the char kway teow along with sausage (I think it was cantonese sausage, providing a nice sweetness), delicious fish cake and prawns.

Highly recommend.

Really delicious Malaysian food and authentic as per my friends review as well.

The staff are very welcoming and make dining in a lovely experience.

Not to mention the $12 lunch menu is insanely good value. I have gotten the Laksa at least 12 times and I feel I am ripping them off only paying that much when it has chicken, bean Puffs, fish cakes, eggplant, 2 types of noodles and other ingredients I can't remember at this time.

I need to come try the Sunday specials as they have some dishes only available whilst in stock on a Sunday.

We’re making this our regular for family meals out. Authentic Malaysian with the kind of care and skill that recalls the most particular Nyonya grandmothers apprenticed from childhood to uncompromising heights of expectation. For example, the green beans in the Assam Fish were fresh and gently crisp yet uncannily permeated with the fragrance and flavour of the Assam sauce and still yet, past that squeaky stage into tenderness (but yes - still crisp). Try getting that right in your own kitchen or try finding that at any restaurant - let alone in relation to a ‘minor’ ingredient in a curry dish. The home made tofu dish was sophisticated simplicity - the broccoli ringing the platter as deliciously savoury as the creamy tofu and hand chopped ‘mince’ sauce. The broccoli’s bright green hinted at the risk of rawness but instead it yielded with a perfect bite and a burst of unexpected flavour contributing another nuance to this deceptively homely dish. So not just broccoli ; not just some decorative afterthought.

The staff were so kind and hospitable as well. It was remarkable to experience.

I felt transported back to Malaysia at the kind of restaurant where my elders around the table would fall into brief appreciative trances at first taste then break into a murmur of happy talk as they relaxed into the cosiness of a truly excellent meal.

This is my lovely restaurant in the neighbourhood. A delicious Malaysian flavour, quick service and friendly. Mostly our food is takeaway, but we love it. Well done, team Ipoh Parade. Highly recommended!
