Went into the new and improved PGF Tackle shop today across from Rye boat Ramp/ Pier. Awesome knowledge about all things fishing, boating and have friends that are into diving so it was good to see this shop getting some stock to cater for them. There is so much stock now in this store since the new owners took charge just over a year ago now I think and they sure are filling the shop with what customers want. They asked plenty of questions of what fishing I was into and they sound like they have a big passion for fishing and boating and supplying all young and old, new or experienced it doesn’t matter you will be treated the same. The owners just want you to enjoy what you do with the products they sell. While I was there a group of young kids came in with nothing but when they left they were ready with everything they needed to go fishing. That’s preparing the next generation and was great to see. Make sure you stop in next trip to Rye. Oh pretty good hoodies and fishing tops so you look the part too!

Awesome experience buying all the fishing gear (first timer) for my 11 year old son. Lou was very friendly and even set up our rod with swivels and hooks.

Fishooked previous owner Grant and his son were the most down to earth people, straight down the line no sort of non sense type. Always happy to help with any fishing question if your a local or not. These previous owners just really loved all things fishing. When they were around by far this was the best tackle and bait shop in the area. Extensive range and variety, all you need is one visit into this store and you will be "hooked". Fishooked that you will come back each and everytime. The owner is more than welcoming on first point of contact and has a huge amount of knowledge on fishing in the local area which for any fishing fanatic is just priceless. It's a must to visit you won't be disappointed.
The new owners are ok. The son is far more approachable and will look after you. On the other hand if you get served by the old guy and you ask for a deal you might get a yeah I'll look after you nod, which means you getting looked after at full price. DEFINATELY NOT COMING BACK HERE.

I was blown away of there fishing knowledge and amount of Diving, boating, Fishing & spearfishing equipment they had in there shop!
Great asset to the Peninsula fishing scene and so close to the boat ramp and pier.
I'll certainly be back!

Store has an abundance of bait and tackle. The owner's knowledge is priceless, and he is always willing to pass it on. I drive from Moorooduc to Rye for his fresh bait; his ability to point out where the fish are, and not least of all, his friendly country manner.

Amazing service and knowledge of fishing around the local area aswell as a great range of fishing and diving gear. will be going back

Awsome store

Very friendly owner, great service. Good location

I went and got my spool filled for my snapper reel and got charged $50.00. When I questioned the cost he told me he charged $15 to take off the old line and $15.00 to fill it with new line. It took him no more than 5 minutes. I was not expecting it to be that expensive. Not happy
