Fantastic experience at Rathdowne Fabrics. Excellent service across 2 visits. Bianca was very helpful and incredibly patient with us while we chose lots of material for our hospital gown project. She was knowledgeable about the fabrics and was able to assist us to find the long lengths of fabric we needed. If you want good service this is the place to go!

Tara was so helpful as we shopped for tablecloth fabric today. She showed me a variety of options, mentioning the benefits of each material. The other staff were lovely too. Really refreshing to have such wonderful, friendly customer service while shopping. I'll definitely be returning to buy more fabric in the future :)

I recently rang Rathdowne Fabrics as I was shopping online and as is what most fabric stores do, it required me to buy 1 metre of any fabric. As I sew for collectible fashion dolls I love beautiful fabrics but don't need that much for any one fashion, I rang and asked if they would do a special order - I love to buy smaller pieces but more colours. They were so kind and helpful, I was able to order on the phone for exactly what I need! Thanks Rathdowne for the great service - they kept track and followed up as some fabrics were not delivered yet and within a week they were able to send the order as the fabrics came in! I will shop there again. A great store.

Large fabric & haberdashery store with very helpful staff. They offer a 10% discount for schools & are happy to cut swatch samples if you need them. Towards the back of the store there is a large array of remnants, those near the upholstery section on the roll need to bought as is/entire quantity but they are worth rummaging through as they are great value.

Absolutely LOVE this shop, great range of fabrics, great service, always new stock or off cuts to forage through if your on the hunt for something unique

I live in Brisbane and if I ever go to Melbourne I make a visit to Rathdowne Fabrics. They have beautiful fabric and its very well priced and excellent quality. The service is excellent as well. When leaving I said I wished we had something like this in Brisbane to which they responded well we would be more than happy to ship you material if you knew what you wanted. I have since ordered more fabric via email (they email me pictures of new fabric) and then express post it to me. It ends up still being cheaper if I bought it in Brisbane. They are fantastic, I highly recommend this store!!
