Redland Bay Surgery

Reviewing on behalf of my gran, she honestly has not stopped talking about the surgery and how pleasant her experience was there. The reception staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the doctor was equally as genuine as the receptionists. She said she left with a feeling warmth and she actually said she’s looking forward to her next visit to the surgery.

Great surgery, staff are all so lovely and welcoming. Our family GP is Dr. Raj and he is friendly, warm, patient and a very good doctor. As a plus, they bulk-bill (so hard to find a good bulk-billing GP in the area!) Definitely recommend this practice!

I have been a paitent of this surgery for a number of years and the level of care is superb. Very much an old fashioned surgery where the paitent comes first. Waiting times can be an issue, but you get that nearly everywhere and if you want quality health care then a wait is a small inconvenience.

A very special caring medical centre. Two weeks ago the receptionist found me an emergency appt and Dr Faiyal quickly diagnosed a serious medical condition. They called an ambulance and life saving surgery occurred at the Mater Private. Huge Thankyou to all.

My family and I have going to this Surgery for many years I have found all involved in the practice to be the most professional and caring people who will go to great lengths to ensure all is well .Would encourage anyone who is looking for a family practice to visit you will not be disappointed. Love the doctors. ...hate the waiting. Not sure why appointment times are made. Just have a 'first in first served' system. Have waited for an hour + over "appointment" time. Lucky the doctors are great.

They are never on time even if you the first appointment 15- 30 min late and they no longer bulk billed

the doctors are superb but the competence of the organizing skills of the receptionists are horrific it cost me 3 days of work due to forgetfulness wrong forms and wrong numbers called.

Doctors are excellent, however I’m getting pretty fed up with the lack of customer service from the ladies at reception. I love being hung up on, talking to an emotionally non existent human being.

Waiting times are ridiculous even though you have scheduled an appointment. On average I’ve waited more than 30-60mins over my appointment. They definitely need to improve on their time management.

This practice is a good practice in Redland Bay that my elderly parents attend. The drs and nurse hv been excellent over the years.

I just need to warn people but, as a daughter of my parents I accompanied my 90 year old father who I care for, to his appointment with his new Dr,….”Dr James”,
On arrival I was stared at & prejudged by this rude man, made to feel very uncomfortable & unwelcome.
On us asking for advise only how to arrange another copy of a simple letter concerning my Alzheimer’s
mother from the practice, that we were advised to get, he would not comply or help. He demeaned my character by making fun of my incorrect pronunciation of her Dr.
He then talked down to me, refused to listen causing us to repeat the simple question 3 times.

He deliberately didn’t even try & understand the simple request by both my Dad & I as he was too busy trying to read into what we were asking twisting particularly my words & motives. There was a lack compassion & professionalism. I endured negative angry face pulling directed toward myself & total humiliation.
In the end he said we were talking around in circles & dismissed us for something he judged wrongly in his head.
When leaving he said he would discuss things with my mothers Dr. when he finally realized it was concerning her not my Dad!

I left the surgery with my Dad, feeling emotionally distraught & in tears.
Sadly I am unable to accompany my Dad to that particular Dr ever again.
Please be careful of this rude, judgmental abusive Dr. Particularly towards the family of the elderly.

The doctors are great but be the receptionist is rude. She hung up on me while I was mid sentence. I understand people get busy but it takes 2 seconds to be polite. Won't be going be there again and I've been going there for 8 years now.

The wait times are ridiculous, even with an appointment, the reception clearly don't listen to you either which then results in the wrong type of appointments being allocated. I don't feel like the Drs are well informed or up to date compared to others I have recently seen at a different surgery for an issue extremely similar.

The reception were so rude when doing an appointment over the phone. The doctors were good but the reception were pretty bad. Poor customer service on the reception that they make customers feel unwelcome to their practice.

Got A email to make an appointment to discuss a blood test made an appointment with in 3hr of getting the email got to the surgery signed in,still there after 1/2 hr then 1 hr passes not good look for the practice

Very disappointed they don't care for pensioners.☹
