At 11am on a Tuesday it was quiet and peaceful out in the garden veranda in the back. Beautiful long Macchiato. Very friendly owners. Can’t see why this place doesn’t get a 5-star rating from everyone. Highly recommend it! Update: Hands down, the best breakfast we had in Australia during our 3 week trip! Do not miss this place if you’re going through Queenscliff!

The food was lovely at Ocean - the poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and the dukkah on the smashed avo smelled divine! Coffees were great, and the garden space out the back was lovely, staff seemed a bit under the pump but were happy to help with quick service. Delish 😊

I enjoy dining at Ocean cafe. Pictured is their Poached Eggs (Perfectly cooked in the centre) with Dukkah. Hilary and Peter are both great operators, and take a lot of pride in their coffee and cooking.

What a great little cafe, one of the best coffees I’ve ever had, just what I needed to start my morning for work.The bubbly. Friendly tattooed girl, that served me made my day. You don’t get great customer service like I did today hardly anywhere you go these days. The coffee was just a bonus. I will be back. Great staff and great coffee doesn’t get better than that..

Insane coffee, breakfast was tops, my mate had the squid and said, best ever !!!! His missus was a real pain she is a Gluten free person, the chef went out of his way and cooked a dish for her that wasn’t even on the menu !!! We have never in all my travels seen a place like this.

Pulled an all nighter, rocked up at 6am. Peter satisfied our needs and made us the best eggs benedict we have ever had. Lovely vibe, great music - would 100% recommend!

Great coffee, cakes, pies etc....great secluded back garden area, in the main street so good parking...great friendly service...

Had a very nice lunch sitting in the backyard of the cafe under a lovely large tree, coffee was great, as was the quality of the food

Flathead tails were obviously fresh from a local source and beautifully cooked

Came down to QUEENSCLIFF to check out the old Ocean Cafe, I have been told so much about this place, It Rocks, best brekkys & coffee, the folks running the place are cool dudes too. The lady behind the counter was awesome with our kids, which all have some food issues or another, too easy she said to my wife, more than happy to help out. I can’t believe how busy they were, pretty much the only cafe open as far as we could work out after walking around after breakfast. To ad to their already busy day apparently some staff had called in sick, seriously I don’t know how HOSPO workers do it !!! Good on you guys, wish I could give you 10/10 and don’t worry about the keyboard warriors, you are doing an awesome job. Ps I noticed that they weren’t even charging a public holiday surcharge Rock n Roll Baby ✌

That lady can make a coffee, best coffee in Queenscliff, grabbed some coffee supplies and fresh beans, cant beat allpress. Make sure you grab a egg & bacon toastie.

Delicious healthy meals with best wet chai.
We had the squid salad, and smashed avo and both were delicious. Would come back and have same again

Absolutely Magnificent
What a gorgeous place, best coffee & breakfast since we arrived in Queenscliff a week ago, and believe me we tried a lot of places !!
One of the most interesting places we have seen in a long while, the ambience and background music were very soothing, we were inspired by the huge collection of coastal gifts and locally stocked provedore and can’t stop eating the Queenscliff produce Co. tomato relish we purchased. The rear garden courtyard was immaculate with a espaliered olive tree and the biggest Elm I have ever seen. We wish we had this little gem in Melbourne.

Extremely friendly & helpful staff and also fantastic coffee and housemade menu choices. I had their house Granolla and it was excellent. Their large coffee was also a very decent size, unlike some places! I would highly recommend this cafe and it would looks amazing in their back garden which unfortunately was closed when I was there.

Very welcoming owner who was efficient with service. Fresh and broad range of menu options and great coffee. Beautiful courtyard or inside store seating. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Hilary and Peter came to my daughter's aid when she got tangled up in a bar stool and ended up falling flat on her back and knocked out briefly on the footpath. They called an ambulance and looked after her with such kindness until I was able to get there. Sincere thanks to them from both of us.

This was seriously the best breakfast we have ever had! Could not fault the food or coffee. The shop was amazing to look at, so many incredible products and the staff were lovely.

Coffee, food, plants and wonderful customer service. I'd eat here every day if I could!
