I had the vegetable lasagne with salad.
Both were delicious. The service was very friendly and we received our order quickly.
One of our party had a sore knee and the beautiful staff Cath offered to drive us to the ferry. What outstanding kindness !!!
Thank you ladies at Salt Bush.

Having had breakfast here two days in a row, I feel very qualified to dish out five fat satisfied stars!!! What I call the “big breakfast” put others to shame - amazing touches like mushroom cooked in sweet chili sauce and presentation fit for Gourmet Traveller - stunning! Todays poached eggs and sliced (not smashed) avocado came with separate little islands of homemade pesto, beetroot hummus and goats cheese. Again, as pictured, a feast for the eye as well as belly. Bravo, Saltbush!!!!

And of course, my second coffee came with a wee biscotti - that little touch.

Absolutely loved this place! The service was wonderful and the food was perfectly seasoned. We had the B&E Pita and the Cassoulet for breakfast. Would definitely recommend both! This place is an absolute gem!

You have to be little early to get all the items on the menu. We have missed both the Portuguese tart and the breakfast item with salmon. Delicious food and caring service. My 3 year old son was given a play tea set, which helped a lot to keep him busy as well as the pedestrians amazed! The tea is the star of the show, for me. Highly recommend.

There was 17 of us , 10 adults 6 kids 13 to 5 and 2 toddlers and everyother cafe in Queenscliff refused to accommodate us . The Saltbush made a room available for us and the meals were all great as well as the coffees . The service was fantastic by the owners and all the staff and was appreciated by us all . GO THERE AND GIVE THEM A GO you wont be dissappointed , we WILL be back again . To all the other cafes a very big THUMBS DOWN

We had the Turkish bread toasted sandwiches, one with pastrami and one with roasted veggies. Really tasty and the coffee was excellent too.

Had a late lunch with friends for today at Salt Bush Queenscliff.
We were very late for lunch but greeted graciously by a white haired lady who was so welcoming and charming.
Food was delicious! All ingredients were so fresh and the flavour combinations so well matched.
We loved the conversation with the lady and all the eclectic gourmet foods sold.
We will definitely be going back back again......

What an awesome little spot. Definately pop this onto your itinerary on your next visit to Queenscliff. We had the Spinach & Cheese Borek and it was absolutely perfect. Lovely and flakey and cheesy and spinachy. Personable and friendly staff that are great for some friendly banter. The place picks up on the vibe of the people who work there. The coffee was also just about perfect. Overall, Saltbush is about as good as it gets. It's cheerful, friendly and has real character. Do yourself a favour and pop in.

The take-away crispy pitta bread, holding beautifully roasted veggies, was an absolute delight. Couple that with baklava and a Portuguese tart. Mix in your preferred coffee or "hot choc", and you'll be doing yourself a great favour of flavour...an ideal light meal! 😛👍
