Bayside Hotel

I was travelling with a group of artists and we were painting the fabulous scenery of the St Helen’s area. The Bayside was comfortable, with a very good bathroom and where my room was, ‘the dress circle’, I had fantastic views looking out on boats moored and a rugged headland in the background. There were plenty of restaurants, a good coffee outlet and shops handy. The Bistro at The Bayside provided a good breakfast and the evening meal there was enjoyable - Lamb Shanks.

Stayed here juts for a night and felt like should have booked more nights. It was a perfect location, right next to the water front. The room had all the amenities and was clean. The carpet was dry and not moist inspite of a day of heavy rainfall. Just ensure you don't get the first room in the semi circle as you may get some traffic noise and will get disturbed if you are a light sleeper but other than that, everthing else was perfect.. Would love to go back to this town and stay here and enjoy the ambience

We had dinner there tonight as a last resort option as everywhere else was closed. I'm so glad we did! The staff were amazing and friendly and the meals we're not only amazing, but came out so quickly after ordering 😊 highly recommend if you're visiting St Helens

My family and I visit St Helen's at least once a year and always stay at Bayside, our most recent stay being this week. The staff are AMAZING, Indi, Dylan, Jennifer, Adam, Jess to name a few went out of their way last visit, nothing was too much trouble, even with my fussy children in the bistro. The pool was perfectly heated, our room requests were met, reception were super helpful when we arrived early, going out of their way to check us in early and personally ensure our room was ready. My children commented several times how much they loved the place.

Just had the best Pizza & salad in many years at the Bayside Hotel. It was a Sunday night with nothing else open in town, and no need for any other TBH, because the cold beer & country table service from Jennifer was just second to none. Fully recommend this joint.

We stayed one night as part of a mountain biking trip. The cabin accommodation was clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and left satisfied, followed by an evening walk along the foreshore to wind down. Lovely location to the south of St Helens Township.

Loved our stay at Bayside Hotel. Large well-appointed , clean king room with magnificent view.

Highly recommended, lovely staff, great food, fabulous price for seniors. Rooms are very nice & clean, oh the shower is a dream.

- Good location. The hotel is situated on the edge of Georges Bay @ St. Helens.
- The room we chartered comes with a TV and coffee/tea making facility and a microwave oven.
- Our room is bay view room on the 1st floor and accessible with lift and stairs.

Fantastic warm shower during this winter period!! Strong heater and located near IGA. Will definitely stay here again. (Toilet is newly renovated)

FANTASTIC! Clean budget room & food was amazing. Khan & Jennifer are so welcoming & accommodating. Can’t wait to see the place once the upgrades are completed. I found a few reviews a little misleading as the description for the property is very transparent (stairs, parking right across the road etc) photos are exact & yes a little outdated but very clean (is a budget hotel)! We were very impressed with our stay. 100% we will be back!

We were travelling around and were very happy with the accommodation. We dined in onsite restaurant and weren't disappointed. Al the sta ere great. Had a good experience. We would come back if we venture that way again without hesitation

Didn't stay over, just popped in for food. Good feed and the staff were super friendly.

We didn't stay here, but had a beautiful Christmas Day lunch.....food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The tables and decorations were beautiful. Well done Bayside for giving us a special celebration.

Loved this hotel, highly recommend. The food was delicious. Staff super friendly and helpful. Gorgeous location, right on the beach, in the centre of St helens. Has a great little gaming room too. 5 star :)

Excellent hub from which to explore Tassie's east coast. Ideal budget rooms for motorbike touring. Very friendly. Clean rooms. Imo, their pool-side rooms are the best value. Get up early, ride until the afternoon heat sets in, return to hotel, park right outside the room, get in - get changed - walk through to the indoor pool, hop in and relax your bones with a coldie ... whilst most others still on the road wrestling with tourist caravans in the hot afternoon sun. Yep. Works every time. Unbeatable ;-)

Had a lovely night last night but the wind was howling! Our lunches and dinners were delicious, they even made a special pizza for us with extra chilli & garlic, it was wonderful.

Nice clean rooms, good counter meal specials.

Stopped in for a pub meal and the food was really good. Scotch Fillet with seafood garlic sauce, and Beer Battered Whiting. The staff were really friendly.
