I met a lot of people told me this is one of the best restaurants in Australia. I was a bit hesitant because I am a vegetarian and I couldn’t find if they offer veg dishes on their website. The chefs and staffs were friendly and kind, and they are willing to cater any special dietary including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals. It turns out an amazing dinner and every dish was wonderful. Definitely recommend everyone to book a reservation with them when you travel to Saint Helens or stay near Binalong bay.

French cuisine with a touch of exoticism. A refinement for delicate pallets. A sort of rebirth for me of Belgian origin when I was able to discover the delights of the dishes offered by chefs Stefaan (Belgian) and Johnathan (Malaysian). I highly recommend tasting their menu there. We will definitely come back.

A cozy French cuisine in St Helens.

Had a chance to chat with chef and co-owner of the restaurant, Johnathan, he sourced and handpicked fresh goods from Launceston weekly with a total of 4hrs+ driving hours, mad respect of the dedication and passion 🙏🏻

The menu doesn't come with a vegetarian option, however, they're still able to alter the menu right away despite we are walk-in guests, very thankful to their team to complete our journey at St Helens.

Dining experience was great, perfect for family, friends and couple. Car park shared with motel next door, plenty of space, slope is alright for accessible access.

Highly recommend to give it a try if you're around St Helens, Tas.

I'm truly impressed by the exquisite and aromatic flavours of the dishes, complemented by impeccable service. The chef's personal touch, sharing insights into the ingredients, added a meaningful layer to our dining experience. The generous portion sizes ensured every bite was a delight, and the chocolate tart reached perfection, enticing plate-licking satisfaction. The serving staff, as delightful as the cuisine, contributed to making our time in Tassie truly special. Gratitude to the restaurant for an unforgettable culinary journey. It’s an experience we will never forget.

Two visitors from the “mainland” and one local had a special French dinner here on Saturday night and it was excellent. They don’t strive to be fine dining but they come v close, even serving amuse buche and sorbet before desert. We shared three entrees and two main meals and the chef even plated up the two beef mains separately for us! Wait staff made excellent wine suggestions without the razzmatazz of a sommelier which was very refreshing!

My wife and I went to visit St Helens, to lookout for possible move for later - great time. But the best was finding this small restaurant, the best meal and service we have ever had, yes that includes 50 years between Sydney and Melbourne.
French cuisine at its best, ingredients, flavors', presentation and to top it all great service, and priced very reasonably for the quality we enjoyed. A life time experience. Many thanks.

I have been to many fine dining restaurant over the past few years! This is hands down the best one I’v been too.
From the service with Rhiannon, to the choice of wine (Tertini - Tasmania) but most of all the food was out of this world.
I would just travel to Tassie for this restaurant. You will know why as soon as you walk through the door.

Fantastic French restaurant in beautiful St Helens. I was lucky to get a table here after someone else has cancelled on the day. So it is worth booking early as it is extremely popular.

Great food - enjoyed every dish.

This is a real surprise in a tiny Taswegian town - we expect wine, good cheese, and fresh fruits in Tassie. We did not expect a French restaurant, especially one of this calibre. The chef we saw (who actually served the sorbet at the table) was Asian, not French - not sure who else was preparing meals, but we've been to France several times and the food at Furneaux rivals some of the best we've had there. Add to that the lovely atmosphere and not a rude waiter in sight!! There are no sides on the menu - they just appear like magic. Slightly quirky booking system - don't be turned off. Just go. You won't regret it.

What a wonderful dinner we had! Thank you 💞
Between 4 of us we ate most of the menu, everyone ordering something different. So good, a special kind of night. Fantastic service staff and delightful chat with chef at the end. Definitely a little bit of France in Tassie! We will return.

We found this little restaurant enchanting .It is easy to drive by this place and dismiss it .But the locals know a diamond in the rough. We went Tues night and it was fully booked .The staff were attentive without being intrusive they were welcoming and friendly .The food came out in a timely manner and was of the highest quality and cooked to perfection .The head chef came and mingled with the guests to answer any culinary questions and to ensure everything was to their satisfaction. The meals were delicious and the portions generous. All the flavours were perfectly balanced. If you are visiting St Helens this is a must eat.Make sure you book well in advance

Personal service, delicious food and amazing dessert. Just being selfish, I hope that you can come to Adelaide. Catered to vegetarians and make sure you order the tea or coffee for the too die for chocolate.

Amazing restaurant and the staff are so lovely and awesome. The chefs are amazing and it was really lovely to meet them.

I have to say this has to be the best restaurant in Tasmania that we've been to and also the best French restaurant we've ever been to.

We went here for our honeymoon and they made it extra special with flower on the table.

Thank you so much.

A lovely place looking over the water. The dining experience came with complimentary appetisers and palate cleansers which is a nice experience not often seen with fine dining in Tasmania.
Delicious food with the chef obviously making effort to talk about his food with patrons and listen to feedback (he seems to want criticism if any is even avalible). I enjoyed talking about the methods he used. I would describe this venue as small and niche and would compare it to the culinary experience of stillwater in launceston with a small regional feel.

I look forward to dining here again.

The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the service was next level. They were engaged, knowledgeable, and obviously loved what they do, at the end of the night, one staff member even escorted us to our car as it was raining.

We had a fantastic night at this cozy, personal restaurant last week! Not only the food was amazing (two days before we were in Franklin in Hobart, this food definitely is better!) but also because the good vibe in the restaurant. Many local guests and we had great talk with both chefs Stefaan and Jonathan who came down after they made all the wonderful food.

They have also nice blinking Christmas lights outside this time of the year :-)

This is a special gem in Tasmania. The staff are exceptional, and nothing is impossible. The food is amongst the best of anything that I have eaten. This is my special place and it is worthy of their awards.

The restaurant was a random find on our trip to Tassie, and were wonderfully surprised by the food and hospitality! The chefs came out and made a evening full of good food and wine even more spectacular! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area (even if you’re not!).
