Queechy motel

Great value! Very clean, spacious and cozy two story building with everything we needed for a night. Even has two TV with Netflix. Great view from the room. Close to walking trail and walkable distance to restaurants by the sea.

Lucky we were able to book one night at this accommodation during our trip to Tasmania in Feb. It was a fantastic stay and we'd give it a solid 5 of 5 stars. The nearly new two-storey
building (Lot 4) was perfect, in our case, for 2 couples staying together. Super cozy and comfortable with all the essentials like air conditioner, fridge, TV, microwave etc. Only downside for a so called Motel was lack of cooktop inside and cookware, despite there is a BBQ cooker next to the building outside. The location is great, with bay view and overall very open. It is just minutes of drive or walk to the town center. The owner was very helpful, and also very kind to lead us to watch wallabies over fence at night time, especially a white one! And value for money? Totally worth every penny. Overall, It surpassed our expectations and we can't wait to go back.

We stayed in cabin 26. It was clean, very private and has a bay view. It surpassed my expectations and good value. The location is close to town and a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to shops and eateries. Upstairs is a good sized bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs a kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge, kettle and toaster. A comfy couch, a couple of single beds. TV'S both upstairs and downstairs. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Had a fantastic stay two weeks ago! Wished I'd know earlier as I would have changed my itinerary to stay longer (it was our last night before heading to Launceston for flight home). It poured at night but we were so comfortable and enjoyed the stormy views from one of the cleanest and most comfortable accommodation. Heather helped me with directions to Binalong Bay- which was lucky since the gps on my phone didn't work- and we enjoyed the sights just before the rain hit. Shower was hot and water pressure perfect. Upstairs room was everything my cottage dreams wanted with a laced curtained view of the bay with a cushioned reading bench. Aircon staved off the summer humidity. Netflix was cherry on top. Would book in a heartbeat and for multiple nights if going to Tas again!

A lovely place with awesome views, this was a quiet and clean place, bedroom was upstairs, so if your unable to climb stairs this place isn’t for you, it was comfortable for a nights stay and convenient to everything in town.

Many thanka to Steve & Heather. This place is so lovely! We had the spa suite with a cracker view of the water. We drove up hoping for a last minute vacancy a d scored the best Spa bath suite. It's a winner! Super quick walk to other food places too.

We got a two story little suite and it was fantastic. Seemed new and was nice and clean. Spacious too.

The room are definitely bigger and brighter than the picture in booking website. Nearby have a lot dinning options. Good base for Binalong bay and Freycinet National park. Enjoy the stay.

Wonderful service from the first contact at reception. Loads of information about what to do and food options (for fabulous fish and chips!). The unit was spacious, clean and had everything we needed (or wanted). Comfortable beds. Access to a washing machine was appreciated. Great base from which to explore the area. We’d stay again if visiting the area.

Very nice place in St Helens. Clean, well equipped rooms and very friendly and helpful owners. Short walking distance from town centre or the waterfront. Wish we could stay more than a night here.

It's right next to the award winning French restaurant called Furneaux which is an extra bonus.

We stayed at the Queechy motel on our recent trip to Tasmania and would highly recommend it. The room, with a comfortable lounge area downstairs and roomy bedroom upstairs was very nice, stocked with tea, coffee etc but with fresh milk! (not the usual tiny longlife) With parking right out front it was easy to unload our luggage and there is a nice view over the bay. As we had been travelling for a week it was great to have the complimentary use of the laundry. We also enjoyed being able to walk the short distance into town for dinner, part of the way along a bridge by the water. Thank you for a lovely stay!

If not brand new, then one of the most comfortable and well appointed places we have stayed at in Tassie. Perfect first stop after getting off the boat. Would strongly recommend, we'll be back again.

This is a little gem in St Helens. Spotless rooms and very comfortable. Perfect location. The owners were fantastic and happy to speak to residents with lovely ideas and suggestions. They even bought me a beer at the local pub. Thank you Heather and will definitely see you again if we ever pass through again.

Excellent experience. Very clean. Steve & Heather are friendly, accommodating & made us feel so welcome. Gave us a late evening tour which included seeing a rare white wallaby. Thank you both, your life stories & hospitality made us feel so at home. What an incredible life you’ve made in this beautiful little town, & I’m so glad we booked in with you. I wish we stayed longer! Apartment 22 has a remarkable history (as does the whole property). A gem we found by mistake. Yes a gem Steve.. we remember your personal stories of gems! Love love!
