One of the best steak sandwiches I have eaten in a long time. Came here with the family for the day stopped here for lunch. My wife had the fish burger it was also delicious, man this steak sandwich I have been thinking about all afternoon. It was unreal! Coming back just for that!!

I've been coming here ever since the new owner took over a couple of years ago. Vast improvement on the previous mob.
Regularly rock up for breakfast and coffee when cruising around on the jetski. Good stretch of sandy beach to pull the boat up on
I've given a 5 star rating all round because it's not far from the truth and the current 3.6 overall rating is an unfortunate carryover from the previous owner.
Coffee is good.

Quaint little cafe great coffee & great little rest stop to grab a coffee & grab a bite to eat. Great customer service friendly atmosphere, but did ask for the fans on as it was very humid after the rain ☔

A great little cafe. We had a great meal, the coffee was good, the atmosphere was chilled. We made an error in our food order and the kitchen corrected it for us and brought extra out with no charge. Very gracious and already reasonably priced. Don't go past it.

Food was great and it's wonderful place to stop for a morning coffee and snack after getting the ferry. Good location with plenty of seating inside the cafe, in the seating area outside, or takeaway to the local park. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area which is great.

We had the seafood platter for two for the small price I was impressed by the quality and amount of food we got, great experience. Sorry we ate the food before the review hence no food pictures.

It is important to note that Curlew Cafe is under new management, and there is a difference in the type of food on the menu (still delicious though). The staff are really friendly, and I was impressed with how they all managed recently when the EFTPOS malfunctioned. There are a few different options for where to sit, which means you can go multiple times without it becoming stale. Best coffee on the island (and at the moment I think the only option). I look forward to returning again soon.

Had lunch at the cafe today, 6th June 23. Could not be more impressed. Coffees arrived literally 5 minutes after our lunch order taken and our burgers within 10 to 12 minutes. Side of chips as well. Service was terrific with our very friendly and attentive waitress and Joe, the owner, asking if everything was OK on a regular basis but not intrusive in anyway. Very reasonably priced. Very dog friendly and a lot of gf options available. Would thoroughly recommend 👌.

Best fish and chips ever! Husband had the lemon butter fish and I had the crumbed. Both agreed they were the best f&c we’ve ever had. Beautiful spot on the island
