Whitsunday Sands Resort

Very happy with our experience a Whitsunday Sands Resort. Our room was clean, with a beautiful ocean view. Location is unbeatable. It is 2-min away (walking) of Horseshoe Bay and a very nice cafe. Also a nice number of walking trails if you like hiking.Janet and John were polite, responsive and provided good tips to have a nice experience. All in all, a perfect experience and we will come back. Thank you.

Last minute decision to stay in Bowen and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Felt most welcome as soon as I walked into reception with no booking. Always good to get a friendly greeting.
Room was awesome. Beautiful sea views, very clean room and comfortable bed. Location great in a quiet area, but still only a 2 minute drive to get to shops if need. Will definitely come back and stay here again if in the area.

Lovely place to stay in a sheltered and picturesque setting. Room was very comfortable and clean with basic kitchen facilities which were most appreciated. Janet was so kind and accommodating, especially when our plans changed last minute and we had to shorten our stay due to Cyclone Jasper approaching. Friendliest hotel I've stayed at for ages!

Incredible location with a private(?) beach to watch the incredible sunset! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with suitable amenities onsite including a pool and small bottle shop offering. Car parking onsite free of charge.

Got the impression that the lady at reception was a touch annoyed I had booked with a 3rd party booking site - but hey it didn't detract from my experiences, and had it not been for that I would never have found this beautiful spot!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights recently. What a spot 🤩 Having beaches on both sides of the resort is a huge plus, and they were relatively quiet as well, which was a big surprise (we stayed in Oct). You can see sunset and sunrise at each side of the resort! The room was clean, and you can tell it's well maintained. A bonus is there's a cafe and chinese restaurant in walking distance to the resort, we tried both and they were amazing too. 👏

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveller. The place was perfect, idyllic location with great views, great facilities, exceptionally clean and such lovely management. Will be back!

Very nice stay but for only one night late August. Good location with of the water and some nice gardens. Room good size with a functional kitchenette. Quiet and walkable to the water though the beach is small but still useful.
Outside of this sprawling town so must drive to get supplies, etc.

Very happy with our stay here. Rooms are older motel style but rennovated and well maintained. Views and location are unbeatable. It's not the best looking resort pool - but who cares outside stinger season when you are litterally surrounded by amazing beaches? Very good value for money when you get million dollar views.

Bestest shower ever in a motel room and most hugest TV.
We were in a kitchenette room or for the size kitchen, full size fridge, stove dishwasher.

Brilliant location for our trip down the east coast. Nice and easy check in with friendly staff. Very local to some lovely locations. Would highly recommend 👌

Stayed 2 nights stop over on road trip from Cairns to Brisbane and enjoyed it a lot. Recommend this resort for a short stop over or longer.

Older place but clean and perfect for families. The location is amazing. Lovely staff.

Would absolutely recommend staying at this fabulous resort. From the moment we booked right through to our last day, the service was friendly, homely and professional.
Rooms were clean and equipped with everything you could need.
We were there on a windy weekend but where resort is located, there was always a spot to find some shelter from the wind.
Would absolutely recommend a visit. We will definitely be back.

Well another great stay at whitsunday sands. The place is great. My wife and I have been returning for over 15 years and is our favourite getaway. The beaches are beautiful, the rooms always spotless and we'll appointed and Janet and John are always welcoming and helpful. Thanks Rob & Jen Mckenna

Janet and John the managers were absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly, rooms are super clean and so comfortable. Felt right at home while on holidays from WA. What an absolute delight my partner and I will be back for another stay. We had a wonderful holiday the location is beyond words. Do yourself a favour and stay at this wonderful resort, thank you 😊
