Great location, friendly and welcoming staff!
Camping grounds are cleaned and maintained daily. Suitable for tents and caravans. Pool on site and just a few steps to Horseshoe Bay Beach.
Amenities were fairly clean; however, Block 4 is worn off. The kitchen and Block 3 were okay.
I wish the washing machines were cleaned more often. Free wifi available.

Definitely a beautiful and peaceful place, worth visiting.

Loved my short stay in Bowen. Well appointed cabin, ultra clean. Lovely manager. A short drive to a shopping centre with a well stocked Woolworths. Beautiful beaches and foreshore with playgrounds for the kids. Lovely neat and tidy town. ❤❤❤❤❤

Loved it there, stayed at the caravan park for two days, spots for the caravan are big and very nice. Next to it there is a beautiful beach and short hiking paths.

This place was awesome! Great little Cafe on-site, We lived the walk up to the lookout for sunset just beautiful!

Love the location of this resort it is a hidden gem, the layout of the sites is good & doesn’t feel cramped. A few walking trails which are right on your doorstep too. It’s perfect. Water & views are stunning. Across the road is a great Chinese/Thai restaurant the meals were divine & not too pricey. There is a great cafe too which is in the Bay & meals are good. Perfect location.
This has so much going for it.

Excellent caravan park, amenities were well maintained and clean, same goes for the camp kitchen. Awesome place to stay near the beach and some amazing snorkeling, be sure to watch the sunset from the beach across the road.

I camped, it has a great atmosphere with the semi permanents

Stayed on powered sites. Toilets good showers good. Location fabulous. Be prepared for midgies take repellent.

Gorgeous park right in Horseshoe Bay Bowen. We had a bit of a mix up with sites but it was sorted out quickly. The ladies in the office and the managers are very helpful. Highly recommend spending a few days here. Beautiful shady sites too.

Well situated to explore the beach and local Cafe. There are plenty of sites for various size vans but there are a lot of these at an angle which makes parking difficult and unlevel. We chose to park on the slab so we were basically flat.

Fantastic location over looking Grays bay
Just a short drive out of Bowen, with fantastic views out over the water.
You can watch sunrise over the ocean from Horseshoe bay and then the sunset over Grays bay all from the caravan park
A coffee shop is right out the front and a couple of restaurants just over the road
Walking trails around the headland start out the front of the park
The turtles were in the man made lake in Bowen

Absolutely fantastic camping spot! Staff were friendly and informative even helped me with basic fishing tips in the area, places to see and do and food recommendations also.

There was a beach within a small bay which was close enough to swim out to the Great barrier reef on a good day. Though we didn't go snorkelling that far out onto the reef edge we did still enjoy swimming in the pristine blue waters for hours. We can also safely say there was no crocodiles or stingers spotted while we were there as this is common to find a lot of these animals and sea creatures in some parts of the North of Queensland.

Though we stayed only one night we would like to make a trip back to this beautiful spot and spend longer there!

The Horseshoe Bay Resort has a pretty nice view on the ocean and the surrounding area is amazing. But there is not that much to do so would not recommend it for tourist's who want to do something else every day. But for people who only want to stay on a nice beach every day that is a good place to be and also for backpackers who only stay for a night.

Just lovely. Friendly check-in. Great location wedged between two beautiful bays. Amenities are a little older style, but refurbished, spotless and plentiful. Lots of wildlife, swimming and walks.

Horseshoe Bay Resort is a local owned and operated gem in the best location in Bowen. If you are chasing great service, a clean park and friendly regulars you have found it.
The team at Horseshoe Bay Resort went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and i am very appreciative of their help. This is our 2nd visit and we will be back for sure.

So close to an extremely safe beach swimming experience. The stinger season goes by year after year without incident. Great walking tracks start and finish right at the front door step. The Horseshoe Bay Caffè is also right at the front door step with a great menu and really helpful staff.
