Spotted Cod - Wavell Heights

We are fairly frequent shoppers and love that they do proper gluten-free. Portion sizes can be a bit hit and miss, but far far better than other fish and chip shops. Good quality too. Not tacky oil.

Love this Fish & Chip shop. I don’t get takeaway often because it’s hard to get good fish and chips now. But this place makes good ones. Even the potato scallops are great. Not too dry and cooked in the middle. Over the years I’ve had them so dry and raw in the middle. Being an older person I can remember being able to get good fish and chips everywhere. Not today. But haven’t had a bad experience here. Staff always wish me a nice night too. I know when I want fish and chips this is where I go. And I know other people recommend this place too.

We order the fish burger and spicy burger with a side of chips. The burgers were amazing, delicious, fresh and great value for money. I would recommend the burgers and willing to drive back for more in the future.

I have gone here a few time and their consistency is amazing, There was a slight stuff up with the order (50/50 chance it was my fault probably) and when I called to mention the issue the lady told me to pop back in 5 minutes to have a chat, I returned with my whole Order to replace Crumbed, with Battered fish, she not only gave me the battered cod and let me keep the crumbed for dinner later, she also offered to cook up a batch of fresh chips because of the trouble and the Cod LIKE ALWAYS. Is 10/10, amazing food, amazing customer service, will always come here, will always recommend.

Spotted cod has been at this location for a while now even outliving a chicken joint across the road. Always keen for some chips and a fish fillet battered here.

I got a prawn cocktail and a fish pack for me and my two young kids. The prawns were fresh and tasty, and a bargain for $9. The kids loved them. The crumbed fish was really tasty, with a huge serve of chips. We ate it in the park around the corner, a great afternoon.

While we waited for food, we chatted with the owners outside, and they were very friendly. It was quick, and great value. I will be certainly back again.

Ordered the salmon fish and chippies.

Also got half a doz of oysters, so so.

My go to for UberEats. Cod, calamari, potato scallop and chips is the best. Great value and taste.

On the way out for the nite but was great being a kiwi I know good fnc and this was up there with the best I have sampled in Australia so far

This is our regular and we adore it. Always nice people and teens working there, and great food- good chips and worth trying the loaded chips with curry sauce. Good fish, burgers and veggie options. Always apologetic if their timing is out, which isn't often.

Clean store, friendly staff, food was quick and super yum. Chips were so good and we got 2 cheeseburgers that were too sloppy and messy for us, but loaded with flavour and cooked medium - very yummy but messy.

Honestly never had a bad experience with these guys. I've ordered myself and picked up uber order, staff have always been cheerful and professional. Don't even get me started on the food. You want fish and chips these guys know exactly what there doing

Great Burger and probably the best chips I have ever had.

Tried them out with a simple order of fish, chips and calamari. I was really happy with the quality of the food and the price seemed good ($15). Good sized portion too. Only problems were the order came unsalted and it took a bit longer than I wanted to wait because it was busy. Small problems though.

We have not had a bad meal here ever 😋. Online ordering is super easy , my son loves going in to pick it up , the staff are always friendly .

I ordered the classic fish shop burger and have never enjoyed a better one. The bun was perfect, the beef patty was perfect, and it had beetroot, which all proper Aussie hamburgers have.

Always delicious food, cooked to perfection. There is a good variety of foods on the menu. Never a long wait time and a lovely little shop.
