An absolute must try for japanese food. The chef is a legend and will feed you well. The staff are fantastic and the quality of sashimi is top notch. The alcoholic drinks selection is extensive as well.

Celebrated 🥳 our son's 15th birthday this evening. Could not have asked for a better night! This was our first time at Oyama and will be far from our last!
Food was sensational, we had the 'Plum' menu, our chefs were fantastic and the staff were happy and attentive!

Highly recommend for dinner, drinks and a great laugh. Still talking about how fabulous it was and laughing! Grandpa..."Heyro!" 😆

Great tasting Japanese cuisine. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Have been eating here for years. The service and quality has always been consistent and excellent.

Really good sashimi, oyama handroll and chawanmushi. Strangely enough their cucumbers always taste much better than other places, I have yet to figure out the secret 🤔.

Absolutely flawless experience, superb meals, freshest produce & the service is stand out. It has been decades since I’ve dined out & felt this joyful over my experience. The cocktails are gorgeous & perfect and the atmosphere, second to none. Thank you for a great time for Father’s Day & a massive thank you to Chef x

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Oyama Restaurant. Our experience from the initial booking, our welcome to the restaurant, and the customer service was excellent. The quality and freshness of the produce was exceptional. We sat at the teppinyaki table and enjoyed the charismatic chef prepare our food. It was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

After taking my brother to Teppanyaki at Oyama where we thoroughly enjoyed the fun atmosphere of the chefs and staff and the absolute deliciousness of the food, I tonight took my Dad so that he too could enjoy it.

He could not compliment the chef enough and loved the food and the team at Oyama. The restaurant is family run and both nights I attended, it felt like we were part of the family.

Genuine Teppanyaki dining experience cooked in front of you by friendly, family chefs. Amazing food, and great value. Est. 1991 and still going strong for good reason. Great for a celebration or special occasion.

The food here is always fantastic.

I choose to have my birthday dinner here every year and have never been disappointed.

The Chef-Owner is extremely friendly and personable and makes the best quality sushi you can get in the greater Brisbane area. Highly recommend coming here in any sized group.

I have not had the teppanyaki experience here yet, but it always sounds like everyone sitting over there is having a great time.

Also, the Oyama Signature Handroll is absolutely essential to try. It’s my favorite thing on the menu.

The food is really fresh and delicious. The sashimi is very good and was hand made by the chef. Really recommend to book the table at the sushi bar. I love this place! It’s a excellent place for dinner and have a cup of sake!

The service was excellent and the food even better I got my partner the pine package and I had the plum, the teriyaki chicken was amazing definitely my highlight of the night followed closely by the pork belly and the barramundi, being my first time at a teppanyaki being involved with the catching food in the mouth and a bowl of rice in a bowl was fun and entertaining, 10/10 would recommend

This place makes the most delicious Japanese fare and makes you feel so welcome. Went there in April 2024 and shared a few dishes with a friend. Highly recommend the Moreton bay bug sushi.

What makes this place extra special aside from their good food and drinks is that it’s run by a family who are very friendly. The warm welcome of each one is just heart warming and they made us feel accommodated all throughout.

Beautiful restaurant, family run, big part of the community. We make sure to bring our family here every time they visit Brisbane. Authentic and delicious food, super friendly, we always love coming to Oyama! Would recommend the Sakura set and sit at the teppanyaki table, it's really dinner & a show

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but this one deserves it. Not only was the food insanely good but I had a great time having a chat with the chef. I’ve never been so well serviced by a chef like in this restaurant. To begin with, he is in front of you all the time, giving you suggestions and asking what your preferences are and then he comes up with something great. I loved the Shrimp 🍤 Temaki (and I normally go for raw fish like tuna and salmon) I had 2 shrimp temakis lol 😝 anyways I had taken my book cause I was by myself. However I didn’t read a single work hehe the conversation went from Brisbane 🇦🇺 to New Zealand 🇳🇿 , China 🇨🇳 , Japan 🇯🇵 , States 🇺🇸 , Brazil 🇧🇷 and so on. Thanks chef Dasham “I hope I got this right hehe” see you next time 🕰

Best teppenyaki we've ever had! We've been to many different teppenyaki restaurants and Oyama is by far the best.
Everything was delicious, fantastic flavours. Extensive drink menu and great cocktails. Friendly staff and lovely owner. Dining area and toilet is very clean. Bit on the pricier side but definitely worth the money!
Convenient large parking garage nextdoor which is very reasonably priced for Brisbane.

Booked this for a trip to Brissy in advance. I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a smile and attentive staff. Great atmosphere, entertaining and the food was incredible and really good portion sizes. Was not disappointed !! Will be back when back in QLD

This store has the best sushi and sashimi that I ever had in Brisbane. Excellent service with top quality food. Had a nice chat with the chef when dining in the sushi bar. Certainly one of the best dining experience!!
