Subdivision & Construction Management

Thanks so much Jacon and Jack, for saving my sanity and my chequebook.

You would think the subdivision process would be logical and follow an ordered process. How far from the truth - Council has plenty of rules, yes, but it doesn't seem interested in sticking to them! We had an existing approved DA, but trying to find anyone who could give a straight answer on what we could and couldn't do in practice was sending my stress levels through the roof.

Finding SCM was a relief - someone who knew what needed to be done, the cheapest way to do it, and exactly when council was asking for more than it had the right to. SCM's experience definitely saved us money, but it was their professional approach to dealing with council that added the most value. They will be firm, polite and persistent on your behalf until council finally admits that SCM have the right of it. Equally, if there's no value in arguing a point then SCM will let you know that as well, so your project can save time as well as money.

Our project was a lot more work than I'd expected, so thanks to SCM for keeping working under the same fee arrangement with no extra charges. Your fixed fees made our budgeting easier despite the current inflationary environment.

We had Jacon project manage our recent home extension, largely due to our own work commitments but also to be a buffer between ourselves and our builder. His manner and professionalism through-out the whole process from start to finish was excellent. His costs were very reasonable and i believe we came out well in front due to him allowing us the benefit of using his building contacts he has developed over the years.
