I'm very happy with my purchase of the Dillenger Premium Off-road Electric Bike Kit. It arrived fast, and no hassle installation. I highly recommend this rear wheel hub kit. It has good torque and very speedy. I travel so much further and see so much more since I installed the kit on my bicycle. I would definitely purchase another one. I feel like I have the coolest bike in town. Loving it.

This company has really good presale service. I asked a few questions before I bought my kit and they got back to me really fast. I picked up the kit from their accessible workshops on the Gold Coast. I went back for some extra advice and spent a good half hour getting the most professional and informative advice. That were so good!! I did buy the recommended tool kit which contains items that I did already have but more importantly it contains tools that I didn’t have, but will come in handy in the future. Not that I’m expecting any dramas, but I will be doing a lot of the recommended servicing myself so the tool kit is excellent.
I spent extra time reading instructions before I started installing the kit. Everything went perfectly. If you are an experienced bike rider you will already have the expertise required to install a kit. But if for some reason you run into hiccups I am fully confident that the advice you will receive from Dillenger is going to be exactly what you need. You can buy with confidence here. I purchased the off-road ebike conversion kit, great company with amazing service to back it up.

I asked alot of presale questions all of which were answered very promptly by their friendly and knowledgeable staff.

My kit had an issue with the battery which was diagnosed with their help, they shipped a replacement battery same day which arrived the next day to semi-rural Queensland!

Very happy with the result and the support, definitely reccomend if you're looking to convert your bike.

On 27th October 2022 I purchased my new ebike from Dillenger Electric Bikes in Arundel, on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The background is that I had purchased a couple of folding electric bikes from a well-known retail chain – one for my wife and one for myself. At $599 each these were very much at the lower end of the price range for electric bikes. Unfortunately both these bikes had serious issues and so I went to a few bike shops to see if they could repair them. None of these bike shops were interested in even looking at the faulty bikes, partly because they would not be able to source spare parts. In the end I was able to return both folding bikes for a full refund, and I understand they went straight to a landfill dump.

However having experienced the benefits of an electric bike, I was keen to buy one that would be much better quality. At this stage my wife decided she didn’t want a bike, so I was in the market for an ebike for me. I also realised that the step-through style of ebike suits me the best, at my age (73 years).

So I started doing my research and looking around at other electric bike options. I looked at bikes advertised online from overseas, including eBay and Amazon. Plus I went to some retail stores on the Gold Coast, as well as investigated the ebikes that can be ordered from other states in Australia. I soon realised that electric bikes vary considerably in price.

My earlier experience with a lack of backup service made me very wary about what brand of ebike I should look at. It is all very well a business offering a warranty, but if there are going to be problems in getting after-sales service, then a warranty might not be very useful.

Fortunately I went to the Arundel premises of Dillenger Electric Bikes, and was assisted by Iris, who was very helpful. I was able to take one of their display bikes for a couple of test rides before deciding to make my purchase. I took the option of having the upgrade to a display unit that had 9 levels of power assist, plus speedometer and odometer. I felt this was preferable to the standard display unit. A real bonus is that Iris arranged for my new ebike to be fully assembled and ready for me to collect from their premises. So much easier than me trying to do the assembly myself.

I have been riding my ebike every day since I purchased it, and I am delighted with it. I am achieving a range of around 50 kms from a full charge, which I am pleased with. The range will vary depending on what level of pedal assist is used, and how much the throttle is used. I find the throttle to be an excellent feature, especially when taking off at traffic lights, etc. However I do pedal mostly to ensure I get exercise, and use the throttle sparingly.

Dillenger Electric Bikes has been in business for more than 15 years I believe. Based on my experience in dealing with Iris, I am confident that in the unlikely event of me needing service or warranty issues with my ebike, I will be looked after. Amazing bike Dillenger Hunter V3.....attractive frame....it's nicer in real than showned in the website. 3rd speed rode 40kms and only one line used of battery. 9th speed is amazing, obviously uses up energy though. Great and quiet motor, umph as taking off on high speed. Decent brakes, however, would have preferred hydraulic brakes. Turning corners it behaves well however, the fork is weak riding on high speed. No regrets......After 6 months the bike is a joy to ride. Continues to be my favorite bike out of all the other bikes I own. I've changed to Schwalbe super moto-x 2.4 tyres. The experience is unique with these tyres.

Great quality product and easy enough to fit. Took me two hours and was good to go. Quality and finish are premium.

Purchased an ebike kit from these guys this week. The kit came with everything needed. Some parts had to be swapped for parts that fitted the bike that I was fitting the kit to and the staff at dillenger where happy to help and provided all the help I needed to complete the kit. Got 40km on the first battery charge so km predictions were pretty spot on. Would highly recommend checking them out if you live locally.

I got the street legal 250w kit and am extremely happy with it , was easy to install and it works above expectations . im getting over 60km per charge and thats going at a higher pedal assist , not only is the kit great but the service of the dillenger team is outstanding , they are so helpful , quick to answer emails/calls and eager to help. so you can buy with confidence of after sales support .I recommended Dillinger to anyone looking for a electric kit for their bike .

This is a follow up to my positive review dated 22 November 2022.  I purchased a Super Street MSS2 ebike from Dillenger Electric Bikes in Arundel, QLD on 27 October that year, and I have been enjoying riding it ever since. It does everything I want and is perfect for an older person like myself, who wants to get some exercise by cycling, with the added bonus of pedal assist for climbing hills.   My experience is that this is a well-made ebike, and so much better than the cheap electric bikes I had previously purchased from a retail chain with no back-up service provided. After looking around at lots of different ebikes, I came across Dillenger, and I am so pleased that I did.  I received top service from Iris at Dillenger who allowed me to have a couple of test rides before purchasing.  Once I had decided on this particular model of ebike, Iris arranged for it to be fully assembled and tested before I collected it from their premises. Much easier, and less stressful, than me having to try and assemble it.

And now for an important reason for buying an ebike from Dillenger Electric Bikes ……  that all important local after-sales service.  Recently I noticed there was an issue with changing into top gear when riding.  I contacted Dillenger and was able to bring my ebike in for them to make an adjustment to the Deraileur, test the gears were working properly, adjust the brakes, etc.  All at no charge, which was fantastic.   Now that is a totally different experience from buying a bike with no back-up service.   So once again I am very pleased to provide positive feedback about my ebike and the service from Dillenger Electric Bikes in Arundel.   I feel very comfortable dealing with Dillenger Electric Bikes, and I am 100% happy to recommend this reputable local business to anyone looking at buying an ebike.

I recently purchased an ARC Feather kit from Dillinger after having test driven one at a bike shop. Delivery was prompt and the product is well engineered. Fitting the torque arm sent me looking for help, my only criticism. The rest of the installation was a breeze. I don't commute on this bike, it is used for 40km rides on the Cooks River pathway and for that it is EXCELLENT. (The bike is a 30 year old 18 speed custom Europa, out of Kensington NSW. Now with 3 speed hub and back pedal brake.)

I purchased the DIY Bafang BBSHD mid drive conversion kit from Dillenger after doing my homework on e-bikes. I installed it on my Merida 27.5" hardtail mtb. I needed to get some spacers for the bottom bracket but all in all the installation went fairly smoothly. The staff at Dillenger were very helpful and were happy to answer any enquiries I had. The price of the kits are very reasonable. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Update after a year or so of use: This kit is holding up strong and is quite possibly the best purchase I have made in several years. It's a great commuter which is not only a thrill to ride but saves me money at the same time.

Purchased a street legal front wheel hub conversion kit last year and have absolutely loved it. I was a little sus on conversion kits, and front wheel ones especially, but I’ve been really impressed by the amount of assistance it provides and have even had some fun using it to mountain bike off-road.

Very fast delivery and easy installation - I didn’t know anything about bike maintenance before buying it - and the battery life has more than covered anywhere I’ve wanted to go. Would recommend.

Super helpful with helping me find the right kit, and they checked my personal bike specifications to make sure it would fit. After my purchase I made too many purchases and they happily took my resaleable product back for a refund. Quick replies via email. THANK YOU DILLENGER!

Been 6 months since purchase. Very pleased with the result. Easy enough to install and smooth operation. The kit system is real value with strong performance.
Suggestion: Source a base MTB bike with good frame and components and you’ll be streets ahead of the pricey brand name new electric bikes for 1/3 the price.

18 months on and still loads for fun and convenience. Big smiles all around.

Got the kit installed on my Polygon Premier 4 yesterday. Kit was easy to fit and made sense. If needing support everything was explained well online. I advise that everything is laid out before commencing.
I had to install a shim on the PAS sensor to ensure any freeplay was taken up. I made this from a plastic ice cream lid meaning once cut to size it could be installed without removal of crank by cutting 1 side and bending other side to fit. Wiring loom was too long in spots and slack taken up by routing around frame and lever cables. Zip ties and wiring clips from hardware meant I could use clips bolted to alternative bottle mounts etc.
I found the service very helpful and friendly and delivery was next day. I would recommend this kit to anybody who is interested.

I came across Dillenger when trying to find businesses that provided kits to convert a non-electric bike into an eBike. I discovered that their ebikes seemed very superior in quality and features compared to all others out in the market. Thus, instead of converting my existing bike, I decided to purchase an SS which I bought just a few days before Xmas.

Unfortunately, due to all the rain, I haven't had an opportunity to do a lot of mileage but, I have, at least, taken into our local park and along a couple of forest trails. The bike is an absolute pleasure to ride and in fact, I can't keep my partner off it!

The staff were particularly helpful and exceptionally nice :-) and responded to questions in a very short period of time.

I have had three purchases with Dillinger. My first purchase was a 750w mid-drive, second a 1000w mid0drive for wife's boss and finally a 1000w mid-drive upgrade for myself. It is rare in today's online shopping environment to find such solid outstanding customer service that actually values their clients. I highly recommend them and will return should I do a build for a friend or upgrade wife to 1000w.

Delivery was lightning fast, and I’ve been very happy with the product (ebike off-road conversion kit). Dillinger were also very helpful when I had a minor issue and sent me a replacement part straight away.

I had the guys from Dillenger install a Street Legal 2.0 kit on my wife’s tourer prior to our tour through Italy. I can’t say enough. Didn’t miss a beat over 2000k’s. The team were great to communicate with and even packed the bike ready for travel. We consistently got 100km/day distances using pedal assist and my wife was overtaking me up hills! She still got a great workout though as we were able to ride for longer and she could switch off the pedal assist on the flat.
I did a lot of research beforehand and Dillenger’s product is a market leader. Lots of positive feedback from other users and my experience was no different. This kit is well worth the money and has changed the way we tour. 5/5.
