Mareeba Hospital

I am an American visitor who came to the Mareeba Hospital on a Sunday seeking help for cellulitis in my leg. We were welcomed by staff and were able to see a doctor after a short wait. The doctor took a thorough history, explained possibilities, provided a prescription and a write-up to take to my doctor back home. The entire staff were warm and professional. Because of the excellent care I received at Mareeba, I was able to enjoy my visit to the Tablelands. Thank you! --Martha from Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Due to an emergency I had to attend the emergency department at 3.30am. The staff were so very caring, so friendly and so helpful. Do not be concerned if you have to attend here as you will be looked after professionally, respectfully and by friends. The staff are just fantastic and I can't thank them enough.

We were passing through Mareeba while we felt unwell and had to go and see a doctor. We had to go to emergency at the Mareeba Hospital. I can’t rate that experience high enough. I had to take a friend to mareeba hospital Tuesday evening, as she had low blood pressure and felt unwell with tightness in the chest. The nurses triaged her quickly and efficiently, reassuring her constantly. She was seen by the doctor, who contacted her doctors in both Townsville and Perth.
We were both very happy with her treatment, and couldn't praise or thank the staff enough.
