Mareeba Rodeo

Savannah in the round. What a great event! Very well organised and fantastic artists. Bands and soloists all day for 3 days. There are food stalls, bars, markets and 3 stages. Can camp in areas provided as well. Something for everyone. Definitely a must do.

The best camp ground in Mareeba by a mile. Wonderful staff, huge sites immaculately maintained. Amenities are super clear. So easy to park, the Rodeo grounds are only a few kilometres out of town. Very peaceful, we'll be back on a return from Cooktown. Highly recommended.

Whether it's the bull riding, or Savannah in the Round, this place is tops.

What a great night, the family just loved it!!!
Had never been to a Rodeo before and the entertainment was non stop. What a well organised event, so much fun for everyone.
Take something soft to sit on though as the seats can be pretty painful after a whole and you wont want to get up and miss the action.
Thanks event organisers, job well done and can’t wait till next year.

Cheap travel accommodation for caravans and tents. Clean facilities. Local fish and chips on site friday evening (best on tablelands for quality and price)

The camp grounds fantastic and it is run by volunteers and they are very friendly. The amenities are very clean and well looked after. If you come stay here you can help by keeping your site clean and mop out the shower after you have had a shower every little bit helps. Great place for caravans. The rodeo grounds are just a short drive from Mareeba and it is safe.

We stayed here for 10 days and just loved it. Cecilia in the office is so helpful and very pleasant to talk to. The caretakers do a wonderful job looking after the grounds and amenities. Would definitely stay here again. Oh and don't forget to buy a Mareeba Rodeo shirt, great price and they look fantastic.

Our first time here. Absolutely fabulous. Clean well maintained facilities and heaps of room.
The only complaint is with some of the visitors. The 10 kph is to help stop the dust, so think about other visitors rather than yourself.

Very impressed with the large arena, good entertainment, would have been good to sit down and have a sandwich or a cup of tea,coffee run by a Lions Club or Rotory, maybe some other charity organised club.

Always a great time . Maybe the check in bloke with the high blood pressured red face may retire soon. What a bad egg bringing the great staff down

Wendy and I had a good time here. The food is so good. The music is every good night and day. Wendy and I will come back to visit again soon. I meet my favorite sings here.

Great spot to camp for a night. Great amenities, showers toilets, laundry. Volunteers are also great! Nice flat green grass camp area

Great faculties. Very spacious and clean. Just re painted never ran out of paper etc. 5 mins from town. Friendly helpfull staff. Stayed 10 days. I had to go into emergency and was transfered to Cairns hospital where i had surgery. The camp ground stored my van for me at no cost. While i was in hospital. Thank you sooo much for all your care and concideration. I do appreciate your efforts.
Fish snd chips were the best on Friday nights at the camp site. I was told the sausage was fanistic unfortunately i missed it.

What a great camp area, good on the Mareeba Rodeo Committee for opening their parking areas for camping. The amenities are not so modern but clean and tidy. There is a dump point. The volunteers that are there every day are happy and friendly and most helpful. The local fresh fish monger from Mareeba comes to the camp ground every Friday, where he has a shop and cooks fresh fish and chips along with other seafood delights. I am here to tell you that he dishes up the best fish and chips and potato cakes I have ever tasted. He opens his servery at 5.30 pm and people start lining up at 4 pm, they take their chairs and coolers down and sit there and socialise over happy hour until he opens. Love the place, most highly recommended.
