Davies Creek, Dinden National Park

This is my favourite park around Cairns. Absolutely gorgeous hike to Turtle Head Rock, beautiful dip in the infinity pool at Upper Davies, massive camping 'nodes', and safe family swimming at Lower Davies. I love the topography and the ecosystems of this park. Definitely a must see if within a 1.5 hour drive!

Great Spot fir a Relaxing Day by the water.Would be great for a Camp if you had applied fir the required permits before you arrived there. Great waterflow.
The Entrance Road of 6.2 km is very Rough with Furrows on the Surface.

Beautiful spot for a picnic and a bit it tubing down the river. Ideal with clean toilet facilities. Came here as children and have now returned with ours! Must admit that this was the first time I’ve ever been to the actual fall. Spectacular!

Had the place to ourselves for a while. Tour group came thru later but kept to themselves. Qld EPA needs to fix their booking system. Place was empty yet said no availability. Long drop toilets. Great swimming pools, watch out for strong currents.

This place is excellent for swimming and climbing up multiple levels of the gorge. The camping spots are brilliant, although there aren't many and the ones that are there are huge (Upper Davies Creek). No phone reception at Upper or Lower campsites.

So many cool spots to hang a few hrs during our heatwaves. Picnic tables, public toilets, campgrounds, lots of fresh water swimming pools. Cool, running, fresh water. Can't wait to float the afternoon away there again 😉

Great places to sit and eat while watching the water flow, great walking tracks and swim areas, stunning waterfall PS this is where the Great Northern ad was filmed

Simply stunning place to visit and do some hiking, explore the trails and find some beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way, waterfalls along the creek are worth looking for as some are spectacular

Excellent place for relaxation. Best i've seen for a long time. Running rapids, little waterfalls, heaps of still pools and massive rock areas to bake. There was a fair few picnic tables and shady tree's beside the creek. Heaps of car parks. Suns out buns out seem to be the flavour of the creek. About 6 kms of good dirt road into the place, No worries for any vehicle. You can go for walks to see more if you want to. We went in February ,water levels were perfect, I'm not sure if it flows as much all year round. We loved the place and will be back for beer's and swims. Happy to find this place, And only 30 mins from north Cairns.

Love this place fantastic family fun for all ages ❤. Not the best for people with mobility problems. But fantastic for day outing or camping with the permit.

It is really amazing place to go. Terrific water, good scenic and relax with family. Enjoy time with friends without bother. Good place!!!

What a fabulous area. Quiet & beautiful lower river falls..great swimming holes.
Higher up the falls & views are fantastic.

Great little place to explore. Did it in a two wheel vehicle. A little bit slow going but great view for not alot of walking

Beautiful place, lots of secluded swimming spots, great for kids.

So beautiful/ stunning and worth the short hike to see the falls. Just be weary of the narrow roads

Very pretty, well worth a few kilometres of good gravel road. Parking bay and toilets.

Drive is a little rough but well worth it... Accessible in a 2wd or 4wd.... Australian bush at its best. Love this part of the country

Great NP with camping along creek. Drive to Falls lookout well worthwhile as is loop walk at top.
