In July 2021, my husband and I were fortunate enough to take possession of a brand new Kia Carnival for our son, Angus.
Angus has CP and had to undergo surgery for a severe spinal curvature. We had been trying to raise money for a vehicle, since 2011 and finally through fundraising from several community groups, as well as family member contributions, we raised enough money to purchase this vehicle. Meanwhile , Blair from K & M kite was there to guide us through the process of purchasing and then modifying the vehicle in July 2022. Throughout the whole process Blair was always very friendly and accommodating towards us. He was always eager to share a story and just have a good laugh. On multiple occasions, Blair or a colleague from K&M Kite would personally deliver a modified car from their company in Arundel to our home in Currumbin (40mins away) for us to then test drive and consider. Blair and his team were also very helpful in addressing any concerns and questions that we possessed and gave us ample time to consider all possible car alternatives and modifications. The modified Kia Carnival that we now possess is everything we could have hoped for.

Earlier this year we decided to purchase our own wheelchair accessible vehicle. We looked at several other companies/online sales but weren't satisfied with what we were seeing/hearing. K & M Kite was recommended to us and very quickly we were well on the way to purchasing a vehicle. Our vehicle was delivered personally by Keith (some 500 kilometres away) and we have been happy with the car. This week we have had a winch fitted and again, great service and satisfaction. K&M Kite are a very friendly and professional team. They are all about the customer experience. Keith and Blair are always willing to help with anything small or large. They provided a vehicle for trial when looking at buying, they also listen to what the customers needs are and to anything they have to say. The turn around for a new van was quick and finished to a very high Quality.

I went to K & M Kite to do a modification of a wheelchair ramp to a Vehicle I purchased. I had done some due diligence on the company and their products, test driven the various configurations of their vehicles. Blair was an absolute gentleman in my dealings with him. Keith was very direct and organised my delivery from 1000kms away. What they said they would do they did without hesitation. I have contacted them since with regard to after sales service and that has been performed without any problems or charge. They are an impeccable company to deal with.

We needed to fundraise to purchase a wheelchair capable vehicle for my son and the team at K & M Kite did everything in their power to help us - from loaning us vehicles to try to providing technical expertise. They sourced us a suitable vehicle from their fleet that was interstate, they brought it to the Gold Coast, ensured it was mechanically sound and gave us a great price. When we need a new vehicle or if I am asked for advice about where to source a wheelchair vehicle K & M Kite would be my first choice with daylight second. Thanks Blair, thanks boys.

My husband has mnd desease and was fast losing his ballance. He was relying on the walker for support which became a wheelchair with me pushing which was becoming dangerous as he would often slipp off the seat. I called a car modification company for advice, was told i'd be lucky to get a car in six months or next January. My husbands doctor reaffirmed that time frame. I called mnd&me for recommendations who directed me to K&MKite. Blair and dad keith run a professional service, very generous, loaned us a trial car for a couple of days, no charge. Blair came and drove our car back to his workshop and delivered it back to us in three weeks. Such a huge weight off my shoulder and given us our freedom and mobility for my husband. We are receiving a lot of admiring comments on the modification. I give them the highest star🌟and recommend them to anyone looking to modify a vehicle.

We would agree with all the other positive reviews of Keith and Blair Kite. We purchased a VW Caddy van from Kite’s in 2012 and have had excellent ongoing service from them ever since. If anyone is looking for a more genuine and honest wheelchair accessible vehicle converter you can’t go past Keith and Blair Kite. If anyone says otherwise question their comments.

This is the best company to deal with! We had our son's disability vehicle modified by them. They are always helpful and responsive when we need anything adjusted or fixed. Such a pleasure to interact with them.

These people went out of their way to help me. First time buying a wheelchair accessible car and I could not have been happier. All my questions (even the silly ones) were answered in a way that made me feel valued. Because I had to travel, the Kites organised for me to see a similar vehicle near me. When I flew up, the vehicle was brought to the airport so I could test drive it. They then arranged for the vehicle to be delivered to me. After sales contact was made to make sure everything went well. Very friendly, genuine and fair. I definitely recommend K&M Kite and will definitely go to them in the future.

We bought a wheelchair accessible vehicle from Keith and Blair a little over 10 years ago, we had a couple of minor items changed over the years and these people were very obliging. We have just ordered our second vehicle from them. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
