Vinnies Minto

Do you know they are closing in May. The shop has had no hot water for a couple of years now even threw covid the volunteers could not wash their hands in hot water. The owner of the shop that they rent from took the hot water heater away after it broke and never ever replaced it. The air conditioner broke down a while ago and they have no air conditioner. They have had to put fans in the shop. Admin what are you doing. How could you let this happen and not address it.You look after your volunteers. What a load of rubbish.Shame on admin for letting this happen

Dropped off some donations today and the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

Nice little shop. Pretty good pricing and picked up a cute jacket for winter. The staff dont seem very friendly though. Felt like I was inconveniencing them just by wanting to pay. Doesn't hurt to give a smile back.

Showed up today to donate some bags of kids clothes. Was informed quite abruptly as I walked through the door that they "close in exactly 7 minutes". The woman took the bags as though I was inconveniencing her. I walked in to have a quick look at what was there but was shortly chased down by another staff member who told me "I'm informing you that we close in exactly TWO minutes, can you make your way to the door". 🙄 Rude. Won't be back.

As an older woman age pension I certainly cannot afford to shop at Vinnies, Minto or other store's as well. The price's are ridiculous.

It's got everything I need here.
Retail shops, bakery, butchers, food court, woolworths, paper shop, post office, ATMs, jewellers, optmetrist, K-Mart, Gloria Jeans, Donut Shop, tobacconist, dollar shops etc.

I often visit Vinnies Minto to donate items, and each time I make a purchase for my child. Today, while in the store with my two children, my child picked up a toy from the shelf. Irene, a woman with a badge, approached and abruptly took it from his hands. My child complained, and when I gave the toy back to him, Irene questioned if we would buy it, expressing concern about potential damage. I replied that my child chooses what he wants, and if anything breaks, I will cover the cost.

I want to highlight that I can't imagine a situation where a seller snatches something from the hands of adult customers. So, why treat children differently? My child was simply choosing a toy, and we did end up buying it. The price of the toy Irene took from my child's hands was $7. Seriously? I've always noticed rude behavior in this store from the employees, but today it crossed all limits.
