Gregory Hills Hotel

I attended an end-of-project luncheon with colleagues at the GH Hotel and wanted to share my feedback as below:

The recently renovated hotel boasts a wonderful atmosphere.

The staff was attentive and friendly, providing warm smiles throughout the experience.

Despite the warm service, the drinks were refreshingly ice-cold.

I ordered a rare Rump steak 🥩, expecting it to be slightly overcooked to medium rare. However, to my delight, the steak was perfectly cooked to rare as requested.

I also tried the garlic prawns on the side, which were fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to al dente – definitely a must-try!

The mashed potatoes were satisfyingly large in portion size but could have been fluffier and more buttery.

Overall, I'd rate the experience 8.9/10 and would definitely return!

We stopped here for dinner last week on our way back to Sydney, unaware it was Steak night, so that was an added bonus. The food was quick to come out and fantastic. Our eye fillet and Rump were both cooked to perfection and the onion rings were awesome. Was absolutley worth the drive from our hotel to eat here, won't be the last time. Fantastic little pub.

I don't get down here enough but, when my mates in the area want a great feed with top atmosphere, Gregory Hills Hotel always comes into the conversation. The kids are a big fan of the playground, and you've got to have a crack at the meat tray😉.
Friendly place with a big local following...for good reason!

Place was pretty packed for the SuperBowl
But barkeeps kept up well, drink special was a good value, and food came out hot and fresh.
Had peri-peri wings and garlic prawn pizza

Great place but very busy so make sure you book a table ahead not really a place you can just rock up to and expect a table service is fast for food need more bar staff Julie is the best waitress 👌

Had a farewell dinner here for a friend. I live in South Sydney so wasn't sure what to expect. The food we ordered was great, maybe a bit pricey, but was very nice, easy to order drinks and food from the QR codes on the table, was a busy Saturday night, with ordering food the turn around time was fast. Had a band playing, on the bar side of the pub which was good and added to the atmosphere. The pub is well set up with different eating and drinking areas. The staff were also great. Would defs recommend for a great feed and good night out.

An excellent location with plenty of parking.
It has different theme areas, some quiet and some with live music. There is a sports bar with lots of facilities and plenty of monitors.
I tried the pokies, but they gave me no encouragement.
Food can be ordered electronically or by a visit to the canteen.
Different bars have different drinks, not all serve coffee, which is just great.
The staff look like they enjoy their job and attend promptly.
It can get very busy at lunch and dinner where it is popular with children.

Great place, we've always been happy with the food and quick table service. Was even happier to find they had upgraded thier outdoor kids playground and it absolutely awesome. Nice one!

Pork knuckle is amazing! In general this is a pretty typical pub for the area. Atmosphere and service were fine, but nothing that made them super special. This place is well known for its pork knuckle, and it didn't disappoint. We shared ours and supplemented with a pizza as the serving is reasonably large.

Been a few times now, the bbq smoker is a great addition as well if you are into meats.
Great weekday specials as well, large areas for sitting, also a big kids play center

Just had lunch new years eve, the new area was great!

Food was amazing and staff were happy and friendly.

Best pub feed in the area !

A great experience all round

Went out to dinner with a few friends. Food was very tasty. Large portions. My pork knuckle was a bit on the high price range but lots of crackle

This pub has improved 10 fold since my last visit. The ordering of food and drinks from the table QR was a breeze. Our drinks order was delivered to the table within minutes, food arrived promptly and all together!
The garlic bread with cheese is the best I've tasted for a long time, everything was cooked perfectly. Really good pub food, decent servings and so tasty.

Whilst the food was great, I found the brisket portion to be very small for the asking price. They had a band setting up and it was just too loud to hear. The staff were lovely, food was out quickly, the venue was clean and the children's play area well appointed.

Great night out for a birthday dinner. The food was absolutely delicious & the atmosphere & staff make this place so spectacular 🙂🙂

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Great family atmosphere, nice little playground for the kids.

First time attending Gregory Hills Hotel and here are my initial thoughts. Modern and busy establishment on a Saturday night. Crowd was young but many families and children were also dining in. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived early so we sat in the back area with the big screen TV. It was extremely loud in that location, difficult to hear each other talk. Bae service was quick and attendants were polite. Prices as you'd expect. We joined our table and the noise levels decreased dramatically albeit the neighbouring children's playground was busy but not annoyingly so. Drinks and food were available to order from the table using a barcode and the hotel app. Ordering meals that way was simple and the orders arrived in a timely manner. Meals included a chicken schnitzel, fish tacos, steak and lamb skewers and a side of chips. No complaints from anyone and my steak was cooked to my liking. Live band started playing and patrons were singing along. The atmosphere was great, the pub was alive and our empties were whisked away not long after they ended that way. I rated this hotel highly, nothing to complain about and I praise the staff for their efforts and dedication to ensuring the patrons were all happy. Well done to the Management Team.

Great sized servings of food. Awesome for a quick beer or a good night out.

Great food, good menu choices. It is a bit noisey but that is what happens with a popular location.
August 23, currently under rennovations so some reduced seating capacity and reduced parking but didn't cause us a problem during the week.
