District 8

We had a fantastic dining experience at District 8. The portion sizes were impressively generous, and every dish was perfectly executed. The presentation was impeccable, with sizable servings that added to the overall appeal. The standout dish was undeniably the Taro Duck, a culinary delight we hadn't experienced in quite some time. The BBQ Duck was succulent and flavorful, while the taro boasted a delightful contrast of light, fluffy insides and crispy exteriors. Encouraged by our dinner experience, we returned for their Yum Cha, which also proved to be enjoyable, although it can get quite crowded. While some dim sum options were hits, others missed the mark slightly. Nonetheless, District 8 remains a top choice for exceptional dining.

Food were amazing and tasty! Big servings too! Its worth dining here. It can be crowded though. My partner had to queue for long to order our food. Price is very reasonable for the size of food on your plate!
Drinks were pricey for what you get.

Great variety of a cross section of Asian cuisine Thai, Vietnamese, and chinese. You can order from the menu, or there is Yum cha.

Pricing is reasonable for the amount and quality of food.

Service is not really relevant because you go and collect food yourself. The one point of contact is when they take your order and there were three people talking amongst themselves and you felt like you were interrupting their conversation to place an order. Eftpos wasnt working so fortunately we had cash

The place is like some kind of food court with different dedicated sections responsible depending on order so there is a seafood section, bubble tea, dim sum, carvery etc much like casino Harvest buffet only a buzzer directs you when food is ready and you go to relevant section depending on what you ordered and collect. You sit in a centralised eating area with vendors on the periphery.

Food was tasty, but if I was to find fault, fresh herbs and sprouts looked a bit tired and wilted

Really enjoyed dinner at District 8.
Portion sizes were really generous and everything tasted spot on. You can see they are well presented too with large servings.
The most outstanding dish was the Taro Duck. Not had such a good one for a very long time. BBQ Duck was plump and juicy, taro was light and fluffy on inside and crunchy on outside.
We have been back to try Yum Cha since dinner was so good and Yum Cha was pretty good too. Just gets a bit busy. Some dim sums are a hit and miss.

New favourite place for yumcha! Appreciate that everything came out fresh and steaming hot - always a plus for yumcha. Great vibes and decor too.

We went with our three little kids and they loved the food and place. The service was incredibly quick, which is great when you have little kids. The food was very tasty and the serving size was very large, especially for the price. Great vibes as well.

Signature Xiao long bao is indeed a signature dish! I had mine cold after settling the toddler and it was still tasty with a thin skin. Our toddler ate 4/6 in the first basket, we had to buy another🤣!
Pan fried buns and chilli oil dumplings were also of high standards and def will re-order when we return!
Duck was very tasty though skin isn’t great. Char siew and roasted pork were OOS. And then they cooked some later on but we were too full😩.
Beef pho was good too. Plenty of beef slices, smooth rice noodles and flavorsome soup.
Long queue to order but moved quickly, and food buzzer started to go of when we were just getting utensils for the table. Super fast!

Hey as a Beautiful local lovely modern Renovation lots of parking , Cafe, delicious cuisine. Service, any $ budget ,it's amazing All ( most ) welcome with basics. Entry Rules in place. Yet enjoy, birthday, functions, stay longer, hang out, sports lounge, games, its so wonderful set up thank you sir, cherrs . Many thank you 😊

Always pack of people, especially the Asian. Lovely food as well and very nice ambience. Forgot to take the picture of my food as ee were to hungry and the food was so nice. The large portion was really huge and supposedly meant for sharing. Price wise is acceptable and reasonable. Will take more pictures when we come here again 👍

The food was amazing here. I had the Pad see ewe and pork buns. The area was very clean and the seating comfortable. They also do takeaway. The food came out quickly after ordering. The staff were friendly and helpful with dietary requirements.

Unbelievable amount of choices in regards to Asian cuisine. The fitout is well done and feels like you have been transported to South East Asia. The play area was a hit with the kids. Our favourites were the Seafood Laksa and pan fried pork buns. I thought the temperarure of chicken and beef curry could've been hotter. I would recommend going early as the queue to order could get very long on a weekend.

Ate at District 8 during lunch time. Non-members need to go with someone who is a member at Cabravale Diggers. A variety of asian cuisines from Vietnamese, Chinese (even yum cha at Horizon which is within) and Malaysian food. Order on a paper chart and receive buzzers that alert you when your food is ready. Portion sizes are large and very worth while the price. Vermicelli noodle salad ($15) was delicious. Service is prompt. Easy, free parking available.

this is one of our go-to for the best asian food! so many good choices and never disappoints. definitely highly recommended! our favourites are the laksa, char siu, satay chicken, xiao long bao and the spicy wontons! very generous servings too. you’d definitely go home feeling full and satisfied :)

Probably the best duck I've had in Australia. It's super fleshy and very good for the price, thank you to all the friendly staffs there as well, it was a very enjoyable experience, see you next time!

Very interesting and good casual dining place. Like a Chinese style bistro , great price. Very busy and popular place for the locals .

The food is pretty delicious. Lots of variety, the menu is different depending on whether you sit in the yum cha area or the centre tables in the restaurant.

Tried every dumpling on their menu. Really tasty :) favourites were har gau & pork and chive (steamed).
They also make their own bubble tea and smoothies and juices. Lychee and rose was super tasty!

Very vibey Asian. Great food choices. Even has a juice bar and bakery. Sure to please
