Absolutely worthy campsite!! Paid 20$ for two persons for one night, very clean facilities, separated for men and women. Even had a little outdoor kitchen (microwave, waterboiler, sink for doing dishes). There is a direct access to the beach, with stunning sunset!!
Better call in advance when you know you will arrive after 6pm.
Definitely recommend that spot!!

I rang Harvey the day before to book in, no problems, $20/nt for 2 of us in a self contained van, if he wasn't there just park up and catch up with him later. Clean camping area, clean gas hot showers, small kitchenette and a lovely beach right behind the small trees to watch glorious sunsets. Oh, and don't forget to give Ben, the 4 legged supervisor, a good ear and bum scratch every time you go past him (he hates being ignored). And visit the Dunalley Bay Distillery next door for a whisky, gin or beer. A veeeery smooth single malt whisky.

Superb views! The very friendly owner Harvey (and best friend Ben the dog) have put in a brilliant shower facility. Although there is no water or power it is only $7.50 pp and a beautiful place to stay in your motorhome or caravan close to Port Arthur. There is a dump point and camp kitchen here as well. Thanks Harvey for a lovely stay.

The owner was very welcoming and advising of what to do in the general area, and also had a really cute friendly English Staffy that was also very welcoming!

Very clean and operable amenities as well which is a nice comfort to feel in a rest spot as such. Would go back again if I'm ever back down this way. 😊

UPDATE we have been coming here for four years and will keep coming for as long as Harvey will have us. To the complainers - this is Harveys private piece of paradise and its ok for him to be selective about who he lets in. Dont drive in expecting a spot when the signs clearly say No Vacancy or Closed. Dont ring up just before a long weekend expecting a spot as chances are it is already booked out. And the "no tent" rule is mainly because it can get very windy at times. With the people that sneak in and try to hide- how would you like others to sneak onto your private property to go for a walk and try to use your amenities and then sneak back out early morning.
Perfect spot, cheap rate, clean amenities, friendly and knowledgeable host with a beautiful Staffy -Ash. Show respect and you will be respected in return.

As beautiful as it can get... !!! Stopping at this beach on our way to Port Arthur from Hobart was the best decision of the day.

We had planned to visit Remarkable Caves and this place was halfway from there, so i decided to take a quick break. We were all awestruck by the beauty of this place when we got down from our car. The ocean was more than half a mile from where we parked our car but the entire beach was covered with small streams of water as in my uploades pics. Those little clear water streams had lots of shells which was pretty exciting for my 2 year son.

We had a great time running around and collecting shells.

We decided to come back to this beach again on our way back. But alas, the high tide had claimed most of the beach and turned this beautiful beach into one of those clear water beaches in Tasmania.

Must visit during low todes and Afternoons !!

We loved the view. We stayed one night, it usually doesn't allow tent camping because it gets windy there. We paid $7.50 per person. The bathroom and shower were really clean.
