Parramatta Toastmasters Club

I’ve been a member for close to 5 years now. It has really helped to improve my public speaking, communication and leadership skills. The safe, supportive environment has helped build my confidence, and allows me to apply what I learn in other areas such as the workplace. The club is made up of a diverse range of people who all share the same desire to learn and help others to achieve their best.

I've been a member of the club for almost 20 years. It's the most professional club with the nicest people you could ever hope to find. The meetings are fun and interesting. The club executive team is dedicated to running the club well. The club runs regular courses on introductory public speaking called Speechcraft. I've learnt a lot about public speaking and leadership at this exceptional club.

Having been a member of Parramatta Toastmasters for coming up on a year now I have to say it’s been a both challenging and enriching experience. The organisation and attention to detail paid to each meeting ensures that you get the most out of each minute and a 3hr meeting seems to pass in a blink. From the first meeting I felt welcome and look forward to continuing my journey in this amazing club.

I have been a proud member of PTM for the last 14 years - and can honestly say, it's changed my life!
I've met many people in my local community - all who welcomed me with warmth and sincerity.
The premise of Toastmasters over and above the mission "Where Leaders are Made" is to provide a safe place where everyone is free to be themselves, step outside what they're comfortable doing, and become a better, more confidant versions of themself.
This is SO important, in an ever-changing world where sometimes it appears that the world doesn't care about the individual.
Toastmasters provides us with the chance to "practice" everyday skills in a supportive environment - from preparing a special presentation, giving helpful feedback in a way that it is listened to, and the ability to think on your feet. Plus, of course, the opportunity to take on Leadership roles!
Parramatta Toastmasters is indeed the GOLD STANDARD!
I've led the Club (during the Pandemic) , participated in everything asked, and had a TON of fun in the process.
And lets not forget - that's also where I found Love :)

Great club and the right environment for those who need confidence in public speaking and leadership

Great people, lovely place

For a club that brags about being one of the best in the world, the experience has not been good. I came with great expectations and had some good moments but was shocked to see the elected leaders including current club President Rob Tibbertsma and Toastmasters International Officer the current Region 12 Advisor Michael Said collude to lead the rest of the group during my absence to take it upon themselves to vote me inactive without even the courtesy of calling me to let me know my vote had been taken away. There are some nice people in the club but the clicky and pretentious few spoil it for the many. A good concept but some let the titles go to their heads and behave very poorly! The branding is WHERE LEADERS ARE MADE, no thank you!
