A Country View Motel Ilbilbie (ill-bill-b)

This was our third stay here. As we travel regularly between Cairns and Brisbane. Julie and Troy are amazing people. Rooms are always fresh and clean. We choose here because it's half way between the trip and are pet friendly as we have Jimmy our little poodle.

Descent place for overnight stay,has fridge , toaster,kettle , microwave in room,AC was cold,and have pet friendly rooms,but there is a surcharge for animals in the room, which I didn't mind paying because there are not many motels that even let you stay with animals .

Such a friendly and efficient host... Called to confirm my late and last minute check in and even had the footy switched on for us ready! The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable bedding, and thoughtful touches. And thanks also to the lady who cooked us some late night chips in the servo across the road.

Run by lovely country people. Our rooms were clean and the beds larger than expected. Side tables both sides for CPAP machines and lots of power points for mobiles, iPads, assorted devices. Icy cold air conditioning that works! There is a Servo across the street for hot food and a pub 10km down the street in Koumala for great meals and all day pizza. There is a large grassed area to walk the dog.

No town water, so we need to be respectful and have no long showers here, but that's okay with me.

What a friendly place! We stayed twice (on the way up and back down during our road trip), and were happy both times. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, the frogs outside were calling (that was a big plus for us!) and the woman on the counter was wonderful (sorry I didn't get your name). I would highly recommend this motel!

Everything you need for a quick overnight stop. Very accommodating and super easy as we booked last minute. Comfy bed and all the essentials, also surprisingly quiet given it’s just off the highway. Thank you Julie and Troy :)

We stayed in early January travelling to Townsville. Very clean room. Friendly owner and there was a mowed area we could take our dog to walk around. Short drive to get to Koumala hotel for dinner.

What a treat. Just when you are so tired of driving the long leg from Rockhampton toward Mackay , there is a 9 room Motel surrounded by cane fields.
It's hard to spot but is on the east side of the highway opposite the Ilbilbie Petrol station.
This is a great spot with very tidy rooms including they allow pets to stay.5
Julie, the proprietor, offers coffee, tea breakfast cereal and biscuits. We loved her country hospitality. Christian from Beaudesert....

Great place to stop on the way north, very comfortable and late check in available. Also room to park small trucks.
Roadhouse across the highway was 24hrs, now closes around 9 pm from memory.

Cute little clean motel with friendly staff. Easy to get to, pet friendly and plenty of parking for people travelling with a trailer (boat, caravan, campervan).

Lovely little spot, perfect for an overnight stay or two after a long drive. Rooms are very tidy and nice looking, service was lovely too. Would stay again.

Unpretentious comfy room with such a lovely host Julie who cooked us the best roast chicken dinner on request.

Comfortable rooms good prices...nice open area and beaches r close with cape palmerston national park 15 mins away

Stayed there few years ago now for 2 weeks for work and the stuff really looked after all of the workers after long hrs day thank you will always stay there again.

Very clean, nice rooms and very accomodating, Julie cooked us a beautiful meal.

Great place to stay very quiet and clean. Great for a weary traveller.
