Bento Tei

Food was great, I loved it, the Syake Don came in big portions and lots of veggies. They also offer a free anime watching experience if you dine inside, and the wall is decorated with Ghibli posters. 🫶

Good tasty food, well sized portion, fair price and nice staff. The place itself is a little small but not a big deal.

Went there to try the food, ordered ramen with pork, the soup is light, not sure if they cook the soup themselves or the powder one but its not bad..

My wife and kids have eaten at Bento Tei Gungahlin a number of times but for some strange reason, I’d missed out until recently! I truly enjoyed our family meal here. I had a Japanese Curry with Chicken Karaage, a perfectly seasoned fried chicken, for myself, a beef and hamburger bento box for my wife, two chicken bowls for my teens and a spicy Japanese-style chicken schnitzel to share. The place is admittedly small but full of character, from the lovingly painted wall art to the Spirited Away cartoon playing on the television. Would absolutely go back!

I loved their food. Today, I tried their chicken katsu donburi and it's absolutely delicious. They are always generous with their food for its price.

Great service and the staff are nice. Good thing they have tables outside so I can bring my dog with me to dine in.

The chicken katsu donburi is really great and pretty cheap and service is excellent never waited for more than 5 minutes. definitely recommend if youre looking for some cheap japanese food.

Very nice staff members. They cater easily to picky eater requests. Great Japanese food choices and delicous food. The Ramen is very tasty and portion size is perfect! Udon is also a great dish. Also chicken katsu is a nice dish. The kids menu is deightful with rice in the shape of a bear. I really enjoy that the have anime playing on the tv so you can watch it as you eat. Comfy chairs! ☺
Highly recommend! I would say best place to eat! Great value. You can choose from many delivery apps to order Bento Tei. I would like them to be able to deliver to most of the belconnen area but I know that's a bit far for orders maybe Lol 😜 nice atmosphere

Tasty japanese food and good value. The staff is nice and the decoration is lovely. I love the Japanese animation that playing on TV in the restaurant. I recommend chicken katsu donburi and yakiniku beef.

Bento Tei is an absolute favourite of mine. The food is always delicious, well prepared, and of an excellent quality. My particular favourite meal is Japanese curry rice with chicken katsu, I could probably eat it every day! The staff are lovely and welcoming, and the shop itself is cosy and warm. We frequently order from Bento Tei, and are always excited to do so.

I have dined in once and had takeaway another time. Both times the bento boxes have been 10/10. The portion sizes are quite big and worth the price. Also has good variety and tastes really good. The people working were also very friendly and welcoming. Best bento boxes in Canberra that I’ve tried.

The food here always tastes good. I’ve ordered from here a lot of times. Their homemade sauce is delicious. I recommend the Chicken Karage Donburi and the Chicken Katsu Doburi. Ordering through delivery and in store is always a smooth experience.

Wowza. Food is fire even having it as takeaway. Perfect Katsu chicken curry, and roasted eel on rice and salad. Huge piece of crispy spicy chicken fillet. I havent been in the store but I can see that it is very charming.

Consistently great tasting food. The location is a little cozy however the atmosphere based on Japanese anime with posters from the classics which they also play on the TV for you to enjoy while you eat. They have several delivery services as well if you want to do your own thing at home while enjoying their very delicious menu.

Super friendly service and if you are a fan of Japanese culture and food in particular, you have come to the right restaurant. They offer takeout, delivery, eat ins and their menu is varied. Although Bento boxes were their specialty, they have improved their menu a whole lot adding various deserts, sides and noodle dishes. Doesn't offer outdoor seating (although with their shop position, it's not possible so I'll give them that) and their dining area is small but convenient, which is why takeout is recommended because Bento boxes are mostly used for that purpose.

Small TV playing Japanese cartoons is a great hit with the kids and all in all its great fun if you're a fan of the stuff. Highly recommend for a quick meal!

I'm in love with their Chicken Katsu Donburi. I don't know, nor care, if it is authentic Japanese cuisine but I know that everything I've eaten at Bento Tei has hit my taste buds and made them happy.
