I was kayaking past Mason's Landing the other day and it struck me how time has pretty much obliterated any actual landing that may have been there in the past. And Google asked me to review it. It is absolutely a picnic gem in the Cannington area. I often use the unsealed car park to eat my lunch when I'm doing vet house calls and I've enjoyed a number of family picnics there over the years.
Beautiful place with much history.

This is a beautiful little chunk of nature in the middle of suburbia. There's a few kayak/canoe launch spots, native wildlife, plenty of grass and shade, benches and even a barbeque area and drink fountain. It's just a really nice spot to come and read a book. The carpark has "theft from vehicle hot spot" signs all over it, but as long as you don't leave any valuables in the car, you'll be fine. The park isn't huge and you can keep an eye on your car from anywhere nearby. In all, this is just a nice little spot.

I have loved this park since I was a child. My Grandmother and Grandfather Marge and Jack Stewart lived across the road for many years and we had many celebrations where us kids played along the banks of the river. (Keeping out of the adults way) I now work just down the road and have lunch there from time to time. It is a lovely spot.

We visit this park regularly they have free BBQs to cook on which are always clean we often see people fishing in the river unsure what the catch you can also launch your kayak in this river there are a few pergola's aswell families often celebrate birthdays etc here it's a great little park there's a large parking area at one end and near the toilets there is a few parking bays but not many overall city of canning maintain this park wonderfully 👌

Lovely park with some amenities. Perfect shade in summer but can get quite cold in winter even though it's well protected. Not ideal when quite windy but one of the best more secluded places around for a picnic.

Plenty of seating and shade. Has 2 x BBQ hot plates and public toilets. Absolutely great for hang outs and bbqs. It's also not too busy so you don't have to come extremely early to get a spot.

Great spot to put a Kayak in .

Beautiful. Take kayaks down there alot. Went down Xmas morning. Lovely to sit, RELAX, and be one with nature.

Wonderful park by the river with pavillions. Ideal place for family gathering. You may see wild ducks coming to pay you a surprise visit. Parking is by the corner. Toilet is clean and graffitti free.

Limited interruptions by humanity, if you just wanted I quiet place to just sit and BE.
AMPLE Wild Water based Birds, from Herons, to Wood Ducks etc .

Last week I went to Masons Landing park for a BBQ its a beautiful park with the Canning river flowing at the bottom of the park which has a lot of ducks and geese such a peaceful setting ,There is a big gas BBQ with three long tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your lunch it does have a lot of shade and there is toilet facilities in the same area ,if you have small children please keep a close watch on them with the river so near I hope you get to visit here soon cheers I forgot to mention a very important sign Please do not feed the ducks as they are well fed thanking you

Beutiful Park, barbecue is very good, at this time the water is a little fast so be careful, although I saw no dog poo bags, lovely and shady, but parking is a bit limited.

Calm area for relaxing along the great Canning River area of Heritage importance.

Peaceful, trees, lots of birds, river flowing by, BBQs, tables and seats. Rubbish bins provided too. What more can you ask?

Nice quiet spot tucked away. Had lunch there. Was lovely.
