The Colony of Midland

Deliciously scrumptious pancakes at The Colony in Midland this morning. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. The menu is extensive so it's going to take quite a few visits to try everything 😉

Staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food was great and they are happy to cater for gluten free diet, which is wonderful. There was a mistake made with the size of a coffee we ordered, and the staff were apologetic and happy to fix the mistakes. Nice atmosphere, plenty of space between tables. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed eggs Benny at "The Colony" for breakfast, absolutely cooked to perfection, ingredients were fresh. Staff were super friendly.

I had the Reuben sandwich, a juice and a coffee. Everything was great. Thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich and chips, and the coffee was perfect. Staff were very friendly and the service was exceptional.

Fantastic eggs benedict well cooked and presented and ricotta cheese cake, coffee is great, atmosphere is "home style comforting" while customer service is humble, kind prompt and kind. 1st time here but would be returning ever chance I get. Keep up the hard, good work team 👏

Had berry pancakes and loaded crossiant with coffees. Coming from someone who's had 18 months experience as a cafe manager and 5+ years in hospitality this place is really well run. Not often you see the owner on the floor doing just as much as any other staff member, particularly on a quiet Tuesday morning. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Credits to the barista for the coffees, decent texture and good flavour, as well as to the kitchen for the food which was very fast and tasty. The pricing was also reasonable and the menu was well set out. Could potentially advertise specials outside as well as inside so you don't have to stand near the till to read but this is very minor and could be because they aren't allowed to interrupt the walkway outside. All round one of the best run cafes I've ever been to, next time we visit Perth will definitely be back. Well done to Kylie and whole Colony team.

I came here for breakfast this morning as my family does every Saturday (supporting local businesses) and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff were fantastic, the food was brilliant, tasty and filled me up, and the coffee was great too! I highly recommend adding The Colony of Midland to your places to visit if you are ever in the area.

Starting with a wonderful warm welcome by staff. The clean and comfortable atmosphere a delight.
My order of a mug of jot chocolate and qscrambled eggs and bacon no toast extra scrambled was delivered shortly after I ordered. Both drink and food was delicious.
I shall be returning in the near future to sample more of their great selection of both hot and cold offerings.

Quickly becoming one of my favourite places to come in and grab a coffee when I need a change of scenery when studying.
Staff are always super friendly and attentive and coffee is always delicious.

Coffee is fantastic. Has a little table, colouring in and other toys for the little ones.
Generally speaking the food is good but have had one off experience. Otherwise its a great place and totally family friendly

The big vegie breakfast is the best.... although the fish fillet sandwich today was so good too! Always great coffee and great service.

Thought to try local instead of big chains. Found The Colony. Best breakfast we had exactly what me and Mrs was craving for. The service and food was excellent. Also thanks for swapping the bacon with chicken special request. Now we know where to go.

I’m a breakfast/brunch person and I had a lovely brunch here. Ordered one of their specials- eggs bene with bacon, hash brown and chilli jam. Came out within a few mins and was so delicious. So was the coffee. What I noticed the most was the pride the staff have in their work and environment. Really lovely staff who check up on you to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your food. Nice big space with lots of tables and chairs too
