Had a good experience with this cake store. Ordered the Bee Sting cake. Ordered it and picked it up with no problems. Not to mention how very well priced their cakes are compared to others. When we served the cake got plenty of compliments on how fresh it was. Thank you to staff at The Cake Merchant for helping to make my Mum's birthday a great occasion!

Order Black Forest cake, Rich flavour in the cake and their pricing is way cheaper compared to other cake shops, they have various options to choose from for cake.

The best selection of New York style cheesecakes and many other flavours and selections of different types of cakes. Shop is clean and very well maintained. Prices are very reasonable for full sized cakes. Staff a polite and friendly. Wait times for your cake order are not too long. Highly recommended cake shop in the area.

AMAZING, way to cheap for what you get. Has a diverse selections of cake and cheesecakes for extremely reasonable prizes. I am surprised that this place is not packed of people or orders 24/7. Cheaper and better than commercial bakeries or chains like woolies or coles.

My absolute all time favorites is hands down the best of best. In order
1)Vanilla Slices (very different to regular cafe types, crispy pastry with fresh cream custard mix that is DA BOMB)
2) almond ricotta cheesecake
3) red velvet with fresh cream

The Black Forest cake is our family's favourite and the vanilla slice is divine. The cakes are made to high standard, look amazing, taste exceptional and for a great price. Can't decide which cake you prefer? Then get two 1/2 cakes and enjoy them both! 😍

Always a crowd pleaser in my family. Their cakes are always fresh and super delicious. Staff are very friendly and they have a good range of cakes and cheesecakes. If you can’t decide you can also get half/half and enjoy two types. Highly recommended.

My eyes could not believe it. The widest selection of mouth watering cakes I have ever seen! You made it so hard to choose ! Had to get 2 in the end. Tried the New York Baked and the beesting and they were DIVINE 😍

A family favorite. We used to go to places like the cheese cake shop and Michelle's but after time found that all the cakes started to taste the same. When changing to cake merchant my taste buds started to get excited again. So many different flavors with different tastes. I am a cheese cake man and in this department they do not disappoint! Another favorite of mine is the black forest cake! You don't need a big piece as it is sweet but a good healthy medium piece really hits the spot after a special occasion. Mother in law loves the fruit flan... I know it sounds like an old persons cake but don't knock it till you try it hahaha :)

We urgently needed a cake on Saturday Evening for a birthday. They keep the shop open for us 10 mins extra as we rang and requested them if they can wait 7 mins until we reach there. Excellent Service. , great selection of cakes, best part is value for money. Shop sell varieties of candles very reasonable price .We are very happy customer . Will let our friends know :):)

Great tasting cakes and a wide variety to choose from. The prices are very good and I have always received fresh cakes so far. Everytime I have been here there has been a queue, but most of the time they are quick to serve the customers and therefore the wait time is usually short. Highly recommended!

I’ve tried their Bonnyrigg and Campbelltown shops they were great but this shop is AWESOME. It’s an experience. When you walk in there is a large glass fridge full and I mean full of different cakes .So many to choose from this is even better than Melbourne. I was amazed the prices are only around $24 for a huge cake . Similar cakes are $65 where I live . I’ll always come here now , worth the drive . When we were there someone got this really tall cake with chocolate dripping they said it was a special order, I’ve never seen a mud cake that tall , just like you’d see in a magazine, now that’s going to be my sons next birthday cake !
You have to wait a bit at this store but trust me it’s worth it , I don’t like reviewing much coz you always see a bunch of losers complaining like they don’t have a life but if I could give this place 6 stars i would

We got 2 cakes from The Cake Merchant yesterday. Very quick service and the best cheesecake (wild strawberry) and splurge cake we have had.

Awesome cake shop . Blows my mind when I look at the Cake fridge there are so many cheesecakes . I tried the ultimate double cookie with baked Oreos OMG sooo good .I want to try the chocolate one that the other chick bought in the review with the picture with the slice , that makes me wanna eat the screan looks like a fudge or mud cake , I’m gonna ask them next time ,chocolate bloody heaven .The prices are good for Australia Day we bought so many cakes and it was really affordable and everyone couldn’t get enough, we bought even more for St Patrick’s Day .
Now all the relos drive all the way from Penrith to this shop . Worth the drive

By far the best cake shop in Sydney. Best value, best variety and best tasting cakes. Pleasant stuff. My favourite is the New York style peanut butter cheesecake and many more........
