As someone with limited mobility, these classes have been amazing for improving my strength and flexibility. Alica is incredibly knowledgeable and understands how to adapt exercises to work with your physical limitations - but she's also not afraid to gently push you further than you thought possible! My confidence in what my body is capable of has really improved over the course of just six months. I look forward to every session!

It feels like there are pilates classes popping up everywhere in Melbourne, but Arc Pilates is honestly something special. I’ve been attending their small studio and/or mat classes for almost 5 years and have worked through injuries and concerns, pregnancy and recovery, and seen transformations in my posture, strength and confidence.

It is truly inclusive and all-ages, and led by professional teachers who are expert in what they do. I have worked with three of them over the years, and want to shout out Alicia for her amazing enthusiasm and nurturing style, Mike for his endless creativity and depth of understanding (he is also a qualified osteopath!) and Jasmine for her inspiring strength and calmness.

It’s also lovely to share the space with other long-term clients who I wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to cross paths with. If you are seeking pilates that is completely tailored and responsive to your ability and goals, Arc is perfection!

Alicia and the staff's personal approach to your regimen means that this is the best value for maximum results Pilates sessions your will find anywhere in Melbourne.
Coming in, chatting about where I am tight and sore, what exercises I've been focusing on recently and what my goals are, have meant that I know I am getting the most out of myself to feel stronger, more comfortable, and able to push my body further.

On top of this, Alicia and the team have made an amazing and inclusive environment that means I look forward to every session and have made many friends along the way.

This is Pilates that makes it hard to go anywhere else after this.

I have been going to Arc studio for almost 12 months and it was the best decision I made for my health. My weekly sessions with Alicia are something I look forward to every week, she makes you feel like a dear friend, someone who you can chat to about anything (we laugh, we cry, you name it🤣) whilst getting your Pilates session in! From chronic daily lower back pain I can truly say Alicia and her guidance has lead to a near pain free lower back. Thank you Alicia and Arc Pilates❤

Pilates with Alicia at ARC has definitely increased my body strength, flexibility and mobility. I love the stretching and feeling my body open up. I am much more in tune with myself and feel so much more confident with exercising. I also sleep better and awake more refreshed. Expansion of my Pilates regime continues with Alicia’s quiet encouragement. ‘Motion is lotion’! The ARC Pilates space is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend to everyone 🙏🏻

I love Arc Pilates so much. The instructors are all very passionate about pilates, and have a deep understanding of how the practice can improve overall health and wellness. Wherever you are at they will tailor each session to your specific needs and goals. There's also a great sense of community and fun and I really look forward to my weekly session. Currently attending weekly prenatal Pilates classes with Jasmine and I couldn't recommend it highly enough for women in their second and third trimester. Brilliant and positive experience every week with life lessons as well as daily tips on wellbeing.

I'm doing pre-natal pilates classes at Arc Pilates and I'm just loving it! There are two sessions a week and I can only make it to one, I'd recommend doing as many as you can!! I have really noticed a positive change in my body since starting the classes, especially after months of morning sickness. I find if I do some of the stretching I learn in class just before bed my night cramps go away. Jasmine who takes the class is really considerate and attentive to each participant's needs and I've really appreciated the extra detail of sharing past participants' birth stories at the end of some sessions. Over the past 6 years Alicia has worked with me on a shoulder rehabilitation, kept me strong through my pregnancy and is now assisting me in recovering from a back injury. Her knowledge and experience is premium, but even more than that, her ability to tailor, adapt and coach with empathy, energy and imagination is exceptional. Over the past 3 years a mix of mat and reformer Pilates exercises expertly guided by Alicia has helped me manage chronic pain. I was a bit of a mess with shoulder, wrist and all over body pain when I first started, but continuing with my weekly class (even through multiple Covid lockdowns) sets me up for a week of better movement and energy.

Alicia's knowledge of the body and brain connection especially with understanding pain has helped motivate me to keep moving. The small group environment with like minded people and the chats and podcast, book and Netflix series recommendations are an added bonus 😊 Thanks Alicia and Arc Pilates team for a great and welcoming environment you have set up.

My 4-yr long chronic heel pain saw it’s first improvement after seeing Alicia, and after few months I am almost back to 100% recovered! I had been to every medical, allied health, surgical and alternative practitioner under the sun, as you do when you are desperate to get out of pain and get your lifestyle back. Alicia approached pain in such a novel way, with a mixture of pilates and very importantly understanding how pain works in the brain and body. Game changing, life changing, thank you Alicia!!

The prenatal Pilates classes with Alicia were fantastic and I highly recommend to anyone! I was quite sick during most of my pregnancy but these classes were the perfect mix of good workout (stretching and strengthening) and relaxation without being intense. Alicia’s guidance also helped to prepare mentally for labour.

Signing up with Alicia at ARC Pilates is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my overall health, both mind and body. After having 3 children, my core stability and strength is better than it was before. Alicia's easy going manner, wealth of knowledge and ability to challenge you just enough means that every week I am learning something new and pushing myself further than before. I have just started Alicia's prenatal class and it has completely exceeded my expectation. I have never looked forward to a pilates class so much! Not only has Alicia created a welcoming, sharing and supportive space for pregnant women, she is an amazing teacher who encourages people to connect with their bodies and what they can do. I find the classes engaging, innovative and encouraging. Alicia at Arc Pilates is an experienced instructor that ensures all her students are performing each task correctly. She is gentle and informative while ensuring each workout strengthens and supports the entire body. I started taking these classes to build core strength but now go because my whole body feels better for it. I highly recommend.

The 8 week pre natal course is fantastic and if you're like me and many others, you'll continue going well beyond the 8 weeks. Alicia provides a fantastic small group environment in which to share her knowledge on pilates and experiences with child birth. Conversation is encouraged so you learn a lot from the other mums and mums to be too which I found invaluable as a first timer. Alicia doesn't just teach pilates she provides coping strategies and breathing techniques for labour and the confidence to trust your own body. I had the natural, drug free birth I wanted and felt in control and confident with my ability to breath through it and be mobile. I have no doubt Alicia's training had an enormous amount to do with this.
